Unwanted transparent texture [Solved]

Post by Oceans14 »

I've noticed that a few textures appear transparent in GIMP, even though they are definitely not. Does anybody know what's going on here? I've included a screenshot because I hardly know what to call this.
Hidden/Spoiler:

On the left is the texture in my photo viewer, and on the right is what happens when I import into gimp. Strange because most other textures look fine.

From the stickied everything you need thread

The transparency is the alpha channel used to decide the strength of the specularity of the model (if it has specular enabled).
