i started modeling this recently since it would definitely be a good adition to any GCW space map and also now that i got animations working. i have it UV mapped but no textures yet and just wanted some feedback on it...

it might take me a while to get the textures done cause if i rush they end up looking bad but if anyone wants to texture it they can cause i got plenty more models to do. :P

Dangit, looks awesome. Though I could never see a B in the B-wing...lol.

And I have yet to remember a game where you could play in one. *gasp*

Thoguh prolly in those Jedi Knight games that I never got my paws on..

B-wings were in the rogue squadron games.

Ah yes, the good ol' Rogue Squadron games. I haven't gotten to fly one of these in a while. Definitely one of the most underated and best ships of the GCW. I'll be looking forward to this one; I think it would prove to be an extremely fun ship to include with some GCW space maps I have planned... the only problem I can see with the B-Wing, is that the Imperials would need another fighter of their own to counter it. This is where I think the TIE Defender would be a good asset to consider. If we could get both, we could make a whole new heavy fighter/bomber class of ship to use in future space maps, bringing a whole lot more strategy to the mix. :P

For now though, the B-Wing is enough. But the TIE Defender would be a really great ship to see as well. Actually... didn't Bandu make one for BF1 already? If I'm not mistaken, it could be really easy to take it, port it into BFII, and tweak it a bit. Badda-bing badda-boom. There we go. I'll need to ask Bandu about that sometime...

Great job as always though, Mini.

Yeah really looks wonderful. I can think of a ton of uses for it. But a quick question:
If i'm not mistaken does it not unfold? How do u get this in a hanger without blowing up every ship in there?

Excilent work... though the B-Wing is my absolutely Favorite ship...

So not to be annoying but the main airfoil should be a tad longer :)

Though I noticed you put the little notch in the main airfoil wich is amazingly awsome you remmebered it :)

Extend the main airfoil a about one XSI unit of length and it will be perfect.

Though it is rediculously awsome as is and if you leave it exactly like that I will be drooling for it's release :D

about the vehicle animation tut, im almost done with it but ill remind you guys that its for advanced users only and doesnt show you how to model and starts of as if you have a finished model. i just got home so im gonna start texturing it now. the ship isnt as big as you might think, its about the size of an x-wing and can easily get outta the hangar even when folded out, just be careful commin back in. :P

Good work so far. It does indeed unfold, the one in the pic is the landed position. Speaking of which, its going to take up horrible hangar space.

P.S. How would a defender balance out a B-wing? They fly way differently....

if you look at pics of it its not as big of a ship as you think, the cockpit pod has the pilot scrunched up as if they were driving a go-kart. :P

and the cockpit is on a spinning gyro so that the pilot always has the same level plane to fly with :D

Once you finish you could easily make the extended version, it is a 2 seater version of it that Admiral Ackbar personally oversaw the production...

Wow awesome job, you think we will be able to get our hand on it for use in the NJO mod? I was thinking of doing the Flurry later on for the NJO mod, The B-Wing would fit perfectly in it.
