Is aliens colonial marines worth buying?

I've always been a fan of the franchise but I heard this game sucked so badly it wasn't even worth half of what they charged for it. Is anyone here that thinks i should give it a try?

It's pretty bad, which is a shame. You might as well just get Borderlands 2, that's where all of the money for A:CM went after all.

Wait for the price to go down if you really have your heart set on it. It's not good.

Yeah I was going to buy it off a friend for like 30$, but I don't even know if it's worth that. And I play borderlands 2 all the time with my neighbors, it's got a surprising amount of replay value

30$ might be ok, if you don't have anything else to spend them on. I'm not a huge fan of the franchise, and only tried the game, but from what I tried and know I can assure you that neither the story nor the gameplay have ANYTHING to do with the Aliens universe.
Felt like CoD in space.
