Can't start ZE on XP [Solved]

I have a probleme with my ZeroEditor, everytime when I start it there comes a massege like:
...there is a probleme with the zeroeditor.exe...
sorry it's german
Please help me!

usually ZE is running correctly with XP..
did you get this message all the time?

it seems like nearly everyone here has XP, i also have it, but i cant get ZE to work, i get the same diagnostic message, and i dont know why. ive tried redownloading, to see if the original file was corrupted, but that didnt fix it.

im not sure, but thats the cause of it probably, i dunno where to find the card though. i dont know very much about computers.

ok...... ive had this issue b4....... i know your all gonna hate to hear this but...... wipe the harddrive...... the thing that happens is it gets corrupted..... but the corruption stays even after reinstallation...... i dont fully understand why but thats how i fixed it.... if any of you remember i joined gt last year..... but when my ze did this i left till this summer when it was fixed.
sry about the bad news =(...... there was another topic just like this a while back....... it might ahve been solved......

Ugh. Don't listen to the quoted advice, it is terrible advice. Just figure out what videocard you have and let us know, and let us know your color settings (32-bit? 64-bit? etc.).

Have you tried using 3D analyze? i got the same error untill I used 3D analyze. You can find the topic running ZE with 3D analyze

It was still ok all the time, then when I was modding my new map it crashed and when I tried to open it there came all the time this message.
I have a Readon 9250 graphic card.

It works!
When I read what Maveritchell ask my anout my settings ( 32-bit ....)
I looked for this and saw it was only 16-bits, I changed it to 32-bit try to open the ZE and..
IT WORKED!

wow hod did you change for ZE open with other setting?

Right click on Desktop
Select Properties
Click on the Settings tab
Change Color settings to Highest (32 bit)
