Since you're doing pack stuff, I'll assume you are using an OncharacterDeath and manually creating the weapon objects when dropping them. That is compared to using the ODF property DropItemClass. Someone once said that that property didn't work... Did you try it using the property first?

No, that part is all odf work. The items dropped are flags.[RDH]Zerted wrote:Since you're doing pack stuff, I'll assume you are using an OncharacterDeath and manually creating the weapon objects when dropping them. Oh, can you carry multiple flags?

No. When the user picks up a flag I kill it.

I've only seen Bakura in Force Heretic II, and from that, it looks like how I imagined, except I expected it to be a bit more sunnier. And since I read Force Heretic II in New York, now whenver I think of Bakura, I think of NYC. I find that very ironic.Darth Lampost wrote:I've only encountered Bakura when I read 'The Truce at Bakura', and this is nothing like how I imagined, but is still brilliant.

The sky is based on visual references of JKA, which had a Bakura level, but the design is based on the two "attempts" I made at a Bakura level before (coincidentally, the Bakura level in JKA also involves a dormant volcano, but I hadn't played JKA or heard of the level when I originally designed this).Ping wrote:I've only seen Bakura in Force Heretic II, and from that, it looks like how I imagined, except I expected it to be a bit more sunnier. Actually, that's not bad for a first map. And I forgot about the Bakura level in JKA. In my opinion, the JKA Bakura doesn't look anything like the Bakura in the books, but then again, the whole level is confined to just one big facility.Maveritchell wrote:The sky is based on visual references of JKA, which had a Bakura level, but the design is based on the two "attempts" I made at a Bakura level before (coincidentally, the Bakura level in JKA also involves a dormant volcano, but I hadn't played JKA or heard of the level when I originally designed this).Ping wrote:I've only seen Bakura in Force Heretic II, and from that, it looks like how I imagined, except I expected it to be a bit more sunnier. Wow, Mav's first map WIP. That has some serious historical sigificance for GT

Kinda reminds me of my failed first map, "Beagle".You can see my past designs (and take a laugh at them too) in these threads:

Laugh at them? That (alpha) is a great first map!
Off topic: Yeah, I wasn't sure what it was until I did a quick check. Looks a bit odd though, even if it is in the desert.

Awesome, reminds me of your "Pick-upable Weapons" that youy had. But this surpasses that by a long shot, I'm very impressed. It's really funny to look at your first map post and see where you are now. Can't wait man, really.

More screenshots, still working on exterior stuff, but at this point all that's really left is the scripting on the outside. Hopefully soon I will be able to start showing more of the inside of the volcano:

ARC Caster - most of the weapons will be straight from Dark Times, since I like the way those weapons work. They will all use ammo, though, (because here it makes sense as a gameplay feature) and there will be more variety in weapon types too.kinetosimpetus wrote:Looks good, what weapon is this?Hidden/Spoiler:

That's a cool ship interior (first picture).
Wow, this map doesn't look like your first Bakura at all! The island's shape and structure appears to be similar, but nothing else looks the same.

Re: Rebel Ops: The Vace Thermill Missions (Bakura starts pg. 13)
Looking good, Mav!!
And a question - who is Vace Thermill modeled after? He isn't a Star Wars character, is he?
And about that first Bakura map.....
Haha, funny to look at how you've improved (several parsecs worth).
And about the history of Gametost, I posted this a couple of months ago:
http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... =6&t=19642
So I knew about Mav's first map anyway.
Anyway, Bakura looks awesome!!

Mav', looking good. Bakura reminds me a bit of Jurassic Park.

You know, it would be pretty cool if Lumiya were an Imperial hero for GCW conquest.
