Cannot munge sound

I recently picked up the SWBF1 tools in hopes of making sounds. However, I cannot munge my sounds. I get an error saying:

Code: Select all

Munging ei1_ambience.stm Access is denied.
This, to me, means it is not munging my ambience.stm and hence is not creating a .lvl BFBuilder\AddOn\ei1\Data\_lvl_pc. I am running a 64 bit computer, and I did use the 64bit munge solution, but it still isnt munging my sounds. I had an error exactly like this, and I didnt have the file closed in notepad++, but this time I made sure I closed the file in notepad++ and still no go. any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium (not win7). Also, how would I go about

doing that?

Ok, I'll send you my sounds. I highly doubt I am making a mistake, but I might be. Just a note, marth munged these sounds for me, but I want to be able to munge sounds myself. My data folder is called EI1, I will just send you my sounds for now. Check your PM's for a download link.

Right-click your .stm file, click Properties, and make sure "Read-Only" is unchecked. Also, it's probably worth noting that I have experienced the same error when munging files before, and not only sounds, but load files too. The problem was Windows thought the LVL files were open in or being read by some other program, even though they were not, so they couldn't be moved, edited, nothing. However, this was fixed by only a simple restart, so unless you've already tried that, the problem is likely something else. I would try creating a new project and transferring the sound files over, changing "EI1" references to whatever the new project's thing is, and munging that instead.

Ok, I will try that.

EDIT: still no, it cant munge the .stm. I replaced EI1 with LTV, and still nothing.
