Any chance you dont have a C drive? I cant remember the exact error message but i had one similar before which was caused by only having a H drive.

Im very upset about that Diet Dr. Pepper XSI ,i want to edit models so likely but ,no way, it doesn't let me...

NOPE, nothing's changed....this is so stupid, i even tried it on XP but got the same ERROR message, it pops still up, the runonce command didn't had an influence on it.unfortunately...
BUT while aplying the command some messages popped up with" Registration Error" and some kinda path underneath it,does have something to do with it?

Just as a suggestion try downloading and install modtools 7.5 chances are it is more window 7/vista friendly. Make sure you do an uninstall of 6 first.
Also try looking for the directory that is says it can't find. It should be in the root of the C drive it is called users and is generated by XSI when you do the install.
Is the program starting up at all? If so just try starting a new project and when it asks for a location just go to the data folder in the users directory
