Weapon Request Topic

In the spirit of Christmas, I am accept requests for weapons this week.

In this topic you can request certain types of weapons to be made, and if it is possible for me to make them, i will post them here. I have gotten pretty good at weapon design so i thought i'd take requests to have them made. I can make nearly any kind of weapon as long as its based on the weapons from assets ranging from stuff like rapid fire weapons to a rocket launcher that will fire a gonk droid. You can also ask for any type of weapon that was featured in my Realm of Chaos Map, such as the Boeing Bomb. I can also take certain Modded Unit Requests. Note that I cannot make weapons that use materials outside of the game or XSI.

Anyway Leave your Custom Weapon Requests Here, and If I think they are Possible to make, I will post the content of the files them here. Also If you Have any Questions about Weapon Design ask here, and I will see if I can answer you.

Remember to Credit me when you've released your custom map.

By "...outside of the game or XSI." Do you mean you can make weapons in XSI or you cannot?

I have a few requests that I've been bouncing around in my head, but haven't had time to try to make work.

First, prolly the simplest, a grenade that explodes with the magnagaurd's poison effect, ie., a poison grenade.

Second, I dunno how it would really work, an autoturret that acts a destructable cp. Like a command walker, only dropable anywhere.

The Neuro Grenade is possible, but I dont know how to set the Autoturret as a Cp, other than giving a commandwalker classlabel, but i don't think that would work. I'll try it tho.

Well how can I turn down such a generous offer? Here's a list of stuff I was planning on trying to attempt myself but anyone could probably do better... sorry because I realize alot of this stuff could easily be done but I haven't taken the time to do it myself yet...
-A Wookiee bowcaster that only shoots charged shots without having to charge them up.
-A rocket laucher that shoots regular rockets but with hailfire rocket lauching animation.
-A machine gun with cis_weap_inf_rifle model/textures that fires chaingun shots for about 2 minutes straight with a cool down time of about 25 seconds.
-A Neuro Poison attack that extends about twice the range and last twice as long that can also take down a normally healthed trooper in about a minute.
-A Rally attack that last twice as long with twice the range that gives health regeneration to the allies around the user as well as a defense bonus.
-Probably most simply of all a thermal detonator with a larger explosion range. :oops:
-And also you said about you modding units, well I was wondering if you could make a recon droid a playable unit? Or is that even possible?

So yeah that's pretty much my wishlist. Nobody has to undertake in any of these things if they don't want to but if anyone finishs any I'd appreciate if they sent it my way. :wink:

The auto turret could act as a destructable cp, and actually it would be able to shoot too. But theres no way you could have it so you could throw it anywhere on the field - cps are predetermined and they can't be weapons.

all of those seem doable. I'm not sure what you mean by hailfire animation. Do you mean with the curving travel trajectory or the rapid fire or both?
and a recon droid as a playable unit ive thought of before, but I'm not sure it would work but i could give it a try.

I'm not sure what you mean by hailfire animation.
Sorry I mean the curving travel trajectory. Where the rockets just kind of fly at random and cover a wide area.
Thanks for helping me out Dann it will save me alot of time and frustration. With the recon droid that probablly be hard to figure out but I'm sure you can get it. Thanks again! :D

Ok, i've finished Durge's Wishlist, (tho i haven't had time to try the recon yet)

but I'm having trouble with Rikino's Poison Grenades tho; all i can do is just normal damage but with that green ring effect, i can't get the poison effect to work so it doesn't look like I'll be able to complete it.

retexture a grenade to white for a snow ball and make it rapidly fire out of a chaingun and explode on impact and make it have a multicolored trail effect ((changes colors))

So you wont actually "make" the mods, just tell us how? :? I don't know how to make mods, so...

If you are actually mod-making, then could you replace the Republic Side's pistol with the DC-15S rifle, as shown on the game box of SWB2?

I'm asking this for a couple reasons: 1) The way the Clone Troopers hold their "pistol" is wrong, because the weapon's model is that of the DC-15S rifle, therfore should be recognized as a rifle. 2) This weapon was featured in some mods, such as the Rise of the Empire mods, and I thought it was SWEET :wink:

well I know how to do this, but if you don't really know how to mod yet, i don't really have enough time to teach you all the basics of Sides and Weapons modding.
