Well guys, I have to say honestly, when I heard there was going to be no first person mode for vehicles that was a big no-no in my book. Now that there's not going to be any type of modability, I ain't buying the game. These guys should know that the community keeps a game alive. Hell, this thing should be shipped with mod tools, like every other fps game that has come out in the past year. I also thought this was to be the definitive Battlefront, that this was the game intended for us last year. Hmm, no first person mode and no mod tools? Smells like a rush job to me. Also with the release of the ROTS dvd on the same day confirms that. This game will be popular for a month tops. Sorry if this sounds overly negative, but if I'm going to spend 50 of my hard earned dollars, i want something i can keep coming back to. This game isn't it.

I'm STILL gonna be connected to gametoast, as gametoast will expand into other games

I GOT HL2

its kinda too much talk, so I havent got far

if you guys would liek to introduce me how to mod HL2, i'd be happy to mod THAT - and I've also heard it should be more easy

ya this is Diet Dr. Pepper. I am also considering not buying the game and waiting till it gos cheap on ebay.

They basically dont give a crap about the PC version. They know that theyl get the money from kids buying it for their consoles.

If theres no mod tools for swbf2 i wont be modding ... il play the game for a while ...get bored of the maps and uninstall it ......like Pandemic could give a crap.

Where was the Freakin xsimod tool exporter????? pandemic couldnt even be assed to send the pandemic exporter to softimage to sort it (for FREE!!!)

I was a supporter of Pandemic when every1 was bad mouthing them ...well if this is true (and coming from a developer ..it is ) I aint anymore!

Modding keeps a game alive! Star wars battlefront is the game I played the most, because of modding!

Pandemic: If you release the Mod-tools: I buy it in November.
If you DON'T: I buy it in December!

The probloem is there's just too many compromises for me to make a purchase. Being an artist myself, I don't send my work to clients until it's finished. Even if there's a deadline, I'll go the extra mile to make sure that all parties involved are completely satisfied. Like art, games show when they're unfinished. A great example of a "When it's done" approach would be Half Life 2. That and the mod tools came out the same day as release and is very easy to learn. I think LA should take that as an example of how to conduct business. I'll probably get flamed for this but something there just doesn't seem right. But that's just me.

On another note, look at all the mods already out for Battlefield 2. Plus the game is a lot more advanced in terms of graphics.

Well i will preoder SWBF2 like i did with SWBF1 and i guess i will have a lot off fun offline/online but for modding it seems that we have to look elsewhere. I´m not sure if i will mod anything for SWBF1 once the sequel is out. Guess noone will play part1 then anymore. It´s sad i realy loved mapping for this game.
