How do you replace a troopers head. I want a rebel body with a clone head/helmet?

XSI is the only way to go.

There's already a helmetless clone trooper. Find it in the Assets release section.

I know, but a simple reskin might be able to take care of that. The again, I should imagine it would be quite complex to adjust the Rebel face to replace the Jango one (it certainly is in reverse)

Rebel body and clone helmet. Not the reverse, which is what you're thinking of.

You can technically hexedit heads onto a couple Rebel bodies, because they use separate head materials you can turn transparent. The Rebel Vanguard or Pilot Luke are both models with which it would be easy enough to just hexedit an addon mesh helmet to the head bone. (For an example, I did these models just hexediting the two models I mentioned above):

Is there a tutorial on this because I thought of a great idea. A cold assault trooper. Heavy trooper head and a snow trooper body :D

look it up on the internet.

thats not possible this way because their boies use one material and you would need to set up the head in XSI and there is already a cold assaulttrooper released

but yes theres a tutorial on hexediting modelchunks

what does your last sentence mean?

He wants us to look up the cold assault trooper, I think.

Well, I completely misread the question.

Well, one could hexedit the Stormie helmet on, but you'd have to use the one in the BF1 assets as that's the only stormie model broken up like that...

That cold assault trooper has a clone body, in star wars it has a snow trooper body and thats the whole idea of my question. Why would I need to replace a head if it already is set out for me? I want a heavy trooper head, and imperial snow trooper body!

So has your question been answered or what? If you are going to request that someone make this particular model for you, remember that we have an all-purpose request thread in the SWBF2 General forum.

No one will do it though. You see many people post these sort of question in the request forum but they never get done by another person.

Them's the breaks. If the question has been answered, then the topic won't turn into a "please do this for me" topic. As AQT said, we have a request thread. Most requests don't get taken up simply because most people expect others to actually do their own work. In any case, that's your only avenue if you have a request.
