Serious Munging Problem - (solved)

Okay whenever I try to munge a map, I get this error log message soon after the process starts:

Soon afterward, the munge process says that its finished, but the process clearly skips a lot of steps considering that when I clean a map and remunge, it never munges the textures (among other things) Instead, the unusually short munge log shows a lot of "could not find the file specified" messages.

This is not limited to one map - it happens with whatever map I munge. The results seem to be that the munge process does absolutely nothing - the maps remain the same as they were before.

Can anyone see what's causing this, because until the problem is solved, I cannot make any changes to any of the maps I have.

Have you EVER changed any files in BFII_ModTools\data?

That is lileky [lol, i mean likely], but it looks like you are actually missing a whole munging
file.

Thanks for the help, so does this mean that the best idea would be to redownload the mod tools and replace the existing Data folder?

And as for what I'm doing, I now have three maps in various states of completion, (including one that's been released with considerable problems), it's just that I'm stuck on all of them in one way or another.

In addition, here's the munge log for a experimental map that I did:

Basically all I need to know is what I am missing (just a general area will do if necessary) and how to get a replacement for the missing data.

As an incentive, I think I've pinned down the error with this: http://www.gametoast.com/index.php?name ... sc&start=0 map, and just one more munge could get the primary CW version fully functional.

I completely replaced the BF2_ModTools/data file, and it did absolutely nothing - the problem is still there and nothing has improved. What else do I need to do? Anyone?

Did we remember to copy the models(odfs mshs and tgas)?

I may be confused. I thought that we were talking about the BF2_ModTools/data folder - what is it that we're talking about? The templates? The problem definitely isn't with the individual world files: I just made a new test world and it had the same problem.

Also, why are so few people replying? Is it because I'm not showing anything in the way of results?

But thanks for replying, at any rate.

I usually don't reply if I don't know what's going on. There might not be people posting here because they don't know anyway to solve this. It is better than flooding the board with replys like "I dunno".

I don't know what is then. If you completely replaced the data folder and it didn't work, then the only choice for you is to probably uninstall it then re-install it :(

Completely replacing the data folder would only make a difference when making a new project. Here's my suggestion:

1-Copy the contents of data_TOR/Worlds/ to the desktop.
2-Delete the entire mod tools setup. Everything.
3-Reinstall mod tools
4-Create a new project called TOR
5-Browse to the NEW data_TOR/Worlds/TOR/World1 and delete everything
6-Paste everything from the desktop back to where it goes

Since I will need to reinstall the modtools, I would like some links to where I can get the full version. Because it seems that I installed an early version without some of the features of the full edition. Thanks!
