I recently got the new 1.3 patch and the r117 patch (full) but free cam won't play sound (what I mean is this, when in freecam mode you can't here sound), this is a major problem because...I make swbf2 movies..is there a way to allow sound without installing an older version of fc?

It does, but it only plays what's close to wherever your player character is, not where the camera is.

OK because I recall that the old version would just play all the sound that you could hear as a solider on the ground..

Whatever you may think you recall, this "version" of freecam is the exact same as the older "version."

well this one once in free cam mode I don't get any sound at all ( free cam mode as in no hud and flying around) what I have to do to get sound is this hit escape and resume which lets my fly around with sound but I have this wonderfull HUD

unless something is wrong because its behaving just like it would if you were to just pause the game how you can still move around just with no sound.

FreeCam can only be enabled or disabled. Its built into the game's exe file and thus really doesn't have any versions.

In SP, initially using FreeCam pauses the game.
In MP, there is no pausing.

There is a key that pauses the game (look it up in v1.3 patch's docs, I don't remember it off-hand). Use that when in FreeCam and SP to pause/unpause.

I never really played with sound, so I can't say anything about that...

I play with sound also, nvm what I said about pausing game......I just don't get any sound at all when I do free cam with no hud, I have to hit escape and then resume to get sound but then my hud pops up.

Well I never did figure out that problem, mine recorded sound on and off randomly.

The controls to Free Cam are thus, maybe it will help:

M=Pause, un-pause game.

+=Camera speed increases

-=Camera speed decreases

Home=Camera flies up (I think)

End=Camera flies down (I think)

I, usually, could fly around anywhere when on Single-Player and get all sound. On Multi-Player, etlest for me, I could record everything.

When your HUD is down is the game paused??

no I can move around in multilayer fine just no sound..I will try the M key though.
