WIP Spartan Hoplite Shield

Now, raise your hand if you've wanted a spartan shield in SWBF2 ever since 300 came out.

Okay, looks like we have an interested crowd

Spartan Hoplite Shield, ladies and gentleman

Will be released VERY soon
I just have to get the heirarchy right, then she shall be ingame

Just to clarify to all the people who thought this was halo-related:
Looks good! Problem is battlefront 2 doesn't have a good sword-shield system without editing anim files.

Looks pretty sweet! May go along with a vibrosword nicely, although like Taivyx said it may require new anims.

nice shield (but that anim thing...)
the texture is nice too, it will look neat with a nice bumpmap,
but why did you make an own topic for the shield?

depends on which you want, they are bone_l_upperarm and bone_l_forearm and for fun bone_l_hand

Hey, didn't Vyse make a link model with a working shield and sword combo?
If he's still around you could ask him for some pointers if you get stuck.

If you're talking about his Hyrule Field map, I'm rather sure he just made it an addon mesh, and had Luke's anim file. Anyway, the model and shield look great, and I agree with whoever said to give it a good bumpmap, as that would make it look
much more realistic.

Or the Pandemic addon, depending on whether you use the full exporter or mshex.

you should cut back on the polygons, theres a vertex tolerance in the games engine, some of the ones that are close together could get welded and mess the model up. besides no ones gonna be standing still looking at a shields detail while playing the game so this many polygons might be too much detail, i think it has more than the actual trooper mesh thats wielding it.

I got the sheild ingame but, well, just look

The white is Obi-Wan, his skin is messed up
I'll import it into XSI and fix it
