There will be custom skins to.
MrCrayon wrote:those skins look sweet. I really do hope you add a stealth trooper or something. Forest levels really should be forced to use stealth troopers (if possible, make one come out of a tree and knife someone like in the second RAMBO)
Thanks, hmm, stealth trooper, maybe.. I'm going to think about it.

ShadowWing wrote:Can I beta?
Yea, sure. :D

Okay, beta is out! Beta testers check your PMs. (if someone didn't get one, please tell me.)
Test it out and post here or PM me. Also an important thing: Does the map lag for you? If so I need to lower the view range and such tings.

Played the map for the first time and i love it !
It has a very realistic look and a really nice atmosphere. The custom skins are very nice, especially the clones ,the mushrooms and big rocks fit in the forest very good too.
I nearly found nothing to complain about, just a few things concerning the object placement:

* found some floating trees and stones
Hidden/Spoiler:
ImageImage
* this tree seems to be lying there for a looong time so the rock had enough time to grow over it
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
* i didn't know if this was intended or not, but it seemed a bit strange to me:
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
magic mushrooms ? :D
Image
* the arrow of the "big" minimap shows the wrong direction. you might say your walking backwards
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
as i said there wasn't much to find. gameplay is balanced, sides look good and atmosphere is nice, what do you want more ?
i would like to make one more suggestion:
Maybe you might want add one or two moons like this to your sky:
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
i think that would look really nice.
The map didn't lag for me, my framerate just dropped a little bit, but i think users with older computers might get some more problems. :?
I love your custom explosions, they give the map a even more realistic touch than it already has. I think this will be a very good map !

The glowing mushroom is meant to be there, but I'll fix the white things on the bush.

Good idea :D , I'll try it out and see what it looks like.

Yeah, I might make a "lower graphics" version for those with older computers, or just lower some things on this one.

This is a good map! The doubleMM bascically sums up all the bugs and glitches, but on the whole, A great map!
I did have a bit of lag too

Okay, I tried it out and I could only check out clone wars (I was a little busy) and overall this was a good map. Let's start with the good stuff.

Good:

-The environment and the textures were stunning
-The skins were new and well made
-There was a good ol'loadscreen
-I liked the sky and the fish
-animations were cool
-some new sounds (always fun to see/hear in a map)

Okay, now the yucky parts.

Bad:

-A.i. are scrambling everywhere with little sense of purpose (felt like I was in a death-match)
-lag (lots of lag even with low settings)
-command posts were being captured faster than I could capture for myself (this isn't because of my playing skill)
-droids had some sort of advantage and gave my men a whooping

and here is just my nitpicks that aren't very professional but personal wants and stuff.

Just my nitpicks (disregard):

-Why was the dc-15 carbine have the double handed pistol animation reserved for puny weapons?
-I wish your map had ducks (lol)
-You should get the techno duel of the fates as custom music

Overall, good work, but I suggest starting off with lowering some shader effects (plants and foliage). Adjust the a.i. aggressiveness, and I think this could be ready for final release!

-Good luck, and I enjoyed the beta. Thanks for letting me do this!! :D

I'll look through all bad things you reported and see what i can do to fix/make them better :D although I won't propably add ducks :(

I had that problem before on one of my maps. Check that the mapbounds region is not rotated. Mine was at about 10 degrees and that happened. Also, I'm loving the sky.

Besides everything that was said in the previous posts, here are a couple of things:

- CP0 and CP4 are too close compared to the rest, try moving CP4 a little bit.

- I don´t know if you haven´t written any map description because it´s a beta or if it´s a localization problem, but threre's no map description, at least for the spanish version.

- The tree mentioned before, I guess it´s an animated prop, as it goes all along the river. In the end, it crashes with that rock, so you could move the rock from the tree´s way (I think it doesn´t crash with anything else).

As for the rest, I think it´s fine. Good map

yeah. I will be very grateful if the load-texture was reduced. It lags big time for me.

It crashed for me on the lowest settings. Can you make a patch that removes the water?

ummmmmm...a patch? You mean an update right? I'm sorry, but I am really a bit picky when it comes to definitions. Maybe I am wrong however, but still...I don't know.

When can we expect a release day?

Not to answer for the author or anything, but the general answer is "When it's done." This looks pretty complete, though, and a very nice piece of work. Congrats. :)

Hmm, well, It's no hard thing for me to do, so I'll give you a special edition with no water. I'll PM you when it's done.
