This was.. unexpected. Rest In Peace Steve. I don't like his computers, but that is hardly a reason to not feel bad about his death. 56 is, way too young. :(

Wow, that's too bad. I knew his health was in pretty rough shape, but I wouldn't have expected it to deteriorate so quickly.

Just read up on it a bit. Pancreatic Cancer, yikes. My uncle had it, but was able to pull through. It has a very low survival rate. Cancer sucks. :|

Gizmodo has a respectful article on Steve and his passing. Which is nice, considering Gizmodo and Steve never got along.

RIP my great-grandma. She died in 2000 at the age of 88, after having three strokes, with the third killing her.

Rest in peace, Steve, thanks for everything.

Yeah, cancer does really suck, lost a family member to it, it's so sudden. Hopefully they will figure out a sure way to treat it someday.

The problem with that is once they do, some other disease will step up and replace cancer as the mostly-guaranteed death sentence. It has happened many times before throughout human history, and I have no doubt it will happen again.

Though I hope and pray that it doesn't...

Back on topic, RIP Steve Jobs. Never used an Apple product, nor known someone who has. That said, you've got to respect his contributions to the world.

RIP Hank Williams. He left us too soon.

RIP Steve Jobs. I'm totally a Microsoft guy but he still had an incredible impact on the industry, whether I liked his products or not.

I'm no Raiders fan, and he single-handedly drove the Raiders into the ground, but he was a pioneer of the AFL and NFL. One of the originals. He will be missed.

RIP Al Davis.

I know that no one else on here knew him, but anyways...

My only uncle passed away this morning, he died in his mid 30's. He died after being in the hospital for nearly a week. I wasn't that close to him, but he was a part of my life. He left his two kids with his wife. I feel sorry for his kids, because his son is less than a year old. I can't imagine growing up fatherless....

RIP Uncle Justin, RIP...

I love you so much, just that I wish that I knew more... So that this pain meant more to me...
