I think this is no xsi question, i understand that you post it here though.. Just like the lightsaber, the bird and fish are invisible meshes, which only need a texture. Make a texture as you desire, with the background being transparent, and scale as you want in the fx file.. Or lua, one of the two :P

Just like at Felucia as example, and reskin the texture.. That's it! :)

Then tough noogies, because the "bird" item is a two-dimensional thing. If you want your own model in there flying around, you'll need to add it in as an animated prop.

Yup. Birdies and Fishies are created at run-time from textures.

Woo-hoo, gooooo Pandemic's laziness! Still, that is nice to know, as I was gonna *coughtrycough* to make a detailed fish, though it would've failed miserably.

oh, well thats a bust, i could just make them like a unit and a fly animation for them and set em as a local team maby

It's not lazy, it's smart. They're hardly noticeable as just background/ambient scenery, and if they were to use actual models then it would be a drain on resources. Just because a game doesn't use the absolute best of everything does not imply laziness on the developers' part.

That would be the only logical solution, yes.. Good luck on that ;)

Animated prop would be better though, doesn't require a whole new animbank when using new bones!

but it would be stationary if it was an animated prop

You could, of course, add them as animatedprops, and then animate them in ZE. It would make them follow specific lines... but it'd be easier than making a new animation bank.

Animate your bird, and make it a sky dome or something.

Might want to export a 'Flock' and not just one.

Place as a prop. Animate with ZE if you want.
