There are a lot of extra U and V divisions on the cylinders in your maze - I'd definitely cut down on those (especially since they're not doing anything but increasing the polycount).

That's why I'm having problems exporting it to msh.

Here's a gun I've been working on.

This is the pic I was given to try to create:

And this is what it looks like now:

And here is Coleman Trebor with a rough texture, just so he wasn't grey, some quick 3 minute lightsabers. I will hopefully be able to get him ingame sometime with insane animations.

Those are no where near identical compared to what I have now.

The detail is fantastic (especially on Trebor), but you're right, the gun's proportions are slightly off in a lot of places. You could do yourself a big favor by rotoscoping (MAX can do that, right?) some reference pics into your scene.

Thanks!

Maya can do that too. I changed it around a bit and this is what I got:

Then after some more tweaking and texturing this is what I have (These textures are not exactly the same as the original image in terms of detail, but they will do.)

There are still some slightly off proportions, but they are off by just fractions of centimeters.

Nice! :D Definitely better model than mine, the texture's kinda off though.

I can give you the texture I used for mine if you want.

Kind of a mishmash of stock textures, btw :P

Ya sure. Actually, because I'm pretty lame at texturing I'll just send you the file in obj format. Then you can texture it and convert if you like.

Sorry for the double post, but I have a new model to show!!!

So I've decided to model the Sith Temple on Korriban (yes I realize the textures aren't the greatest, I'm pretty bad with them) enjoy!

Initial image (starting point):

What I have now:

Interior:

More pics of statues (which took forever):

The statues are the jed_inf_jedi msh, but the reason they were so hard to make was in reshaping them to have their arms crossed, etc. without using joints, or bones, but rather having to select individual face or polys and move them into position. I have also made the capital city as a single model, but will not be posting it due to me being terrible with textures and it's a surprise if it ever goes ingame...

Edit: Any suggestions are welcomed!

Well why didn't you envelope them first? it would have been much easier, and you could delete the bones afterward.

Looks good though, except for the occasional hole in the jedi statues. I can't see much of the interior, kinda dark picture.

Ya, the jedi need work. I know I've tried what you said about enveloping the bones and stuff, but last time I did it it wasn't successful on Maya. I'll try again. As for the interior, the whole thing is pretty black. Right after I posted these I found a better texture which I'll use in the updated version.

If need be, you could pose them in XSI, then delete the bones and export it to some format Maya can import. Or are you one of the people XSI crashes for?

XSI doesn't crash for me, its just that I know so little about it.

Really nice! Are you going to make the research/tomb place outside to?
