Hi! I have two questions

1. I am converting Rhen Var Citadel and the Rhn_proprocks.odf and Rhn_proprocks_02.odf
Don't appear on the map but if I add them manually the come in fine. What is up with this?

2. How do I change a mini map color on the citadel from the BF1 blue to the BF2 gray?

You do it in an image editing program such as GIMP or Photoshop.

My guess is the hue/sat tool. I don't use GIMP, I use photoshop.

learn the basics in gimp by messing around/following tutorials, thats better than having to ask something everytime you'd like to achieve something new (im not suggesting that you would do the later, its just and advide)

Darth D.U.C.K. I understand I just would like to learn from a modders perspective

Would that tool turn the blue to grey?

EDIT
PROBLEM!

Can someone please give me the Rhen Var: Harbor map tga file. I accidentally changed it without making a new document. :runaway:

Double posting is against the RULES, please EDIT your post instead -Staff

Image editing from a modder's perspective:
  • Image files must be in the TARGA (.tga) format, RGB(A)
  • TGAs must be saved with RLE Compression off
  • TGAs must have base 2 dimensions
There are GIMP/Photoshop/etc. tutorials for just about everything else not mentioned above. :google:

No, they must have even dimensions. Base 2 means binary.

Cardinal rule of picking nits: if you must, make sure you are correct. Targas need power of two dimensions, not multiple of two.

@Press_Tilty: I was referring to decimal numbers. Consider the exponentiation 2^X: Would you agree that 2 is the base? Hence base of 2, or base 2? In a sense, same thing as power of two, as Mav mentioned. And just to throw this in for SWBF2's sake, let's let X be all integers on the recommended interval [2,11], shall we? I apologize if my terminology is a bit off, but the main idea is there.

I work nights and have been messing with gimp and the various color tab functions. My xfire is keenmike. There will be lots of trial and error along the way, but you end up with colors just right.

Oh they do? That's just me being wrong, I thought they just had to be even.

Oh...that makes sense, although your original post didn't really make that clear. I would say base of 2.
