This is ridiculously awesome. I wouldn't expect anything less from my favorite BF2 modder. I only hope I don't get overloaded with missions, but that won't matter. I'm getting this. Though TFU was a bit shorter than I'd like, it was a great, fun game, and seeing the new combo system in BF2...Wow. This is huge, even for you, Mav.

Looks really great Mav. Creative thinking on your part.

Does the video seem to lag for anyone else?

It'll lag on one of my computers but not the other, if I watch the HD version (which is the direct link I posted). Three quality levels you can watch at (Youtube either links to HD or High Quality, but not both at once):
Low Quality
High Quality
HD

If you get lag, I would suggest watching the High Quality link versus the HD one.

Your melee system is a lot like mine in BFP. I bet your edited combos eat up allot of memory

Those are nice models, do you plan on releasing them eventually?

excellent, i can play a TFU conversion on Jedi Academy once it's released, and now this! i've never actually even played the game, except on an iTouch, but i liked it a lot. it seems you, Mav, were destined to take the SWBF2 engine, and show how much we missed out on what Pandemic could have done.

I doubt that Jedi Academy Unleashed will be completed. And if it will, they might get some trouble with LucasArts, although I think that such big companies misuse modmakers' lack of knowledge of the laws.
I believe there was a project to recreate Jurassic Park in Crysis and it was stopped due to some legal stuff, but as soon as they would change the name of their mod they wouldnt have that problems. I mean dinosaurs are not a registered trademark by Spielberg after all. I might be confusing it with another mod though, but the idea is the same
Sry for being offtopic.

revanshan wrote:Perhaps, instead of including these mod inside instant action (in the addon folder) it should be included as a campaign. The Unoficial patch 1.3 permits secondary campaigns doesn't it?
More work + at least same amount of missions = lack of motivation
The addon folder isn't some magic folder that makes the maps only appear in instant action, it's where all mods go and they are loaded through the addme script. Look at the KOTOR GC, its extra map still needs to be in the addon folder.

I've got a lot done, but I'd rather not post it all at once (it could be overwhelming to do too much at once). So I'm going to show the units in phases - there are three basic "groups" of units.
Basic Units - units both sides share, standard classes (rifleman, sniper, rocketeer)
Support Units - units unique to each side, unlockable
"Hero Support" Units - One special unit class per hero that's only in a map if its corresponding hero is the one for that map

Right now, I'll post the basic units.

Rifleman/Soldier Class
Stormtrooper/Militia Rifleman
Hidden/Spoiler:

Image
Equipment: Blaster Rifle, Blaster Pistol, Health & Ammo, Thermal Detonators

Sniper/Scout Class
Scout Trooper/Militia Sniper
Hidden/Spoiler:

Equipment: Sniper Rifle (Charge Shot), Blaster Pistol, Recon Droid, Flechette Mines

Rocketeer Class
Shock Trooper/Militia Rocketeer
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
Image
Equipment: Empire: Rocket Launcher (Charge Shot) Alliance: Multi-Rocket Launcher Shared: Blaster Pistol, Haywire Detonators, Thermal Detonators

Some basic weapon facts:
-All blaster-type weapons overheat instead of using ammo
-All blaster-type weapons' ordnance makes a small explosion on contact
-Many weapons charge to either increase power, accuracy, or both

Wow looks cool, but will this be another era added to the stock maps? Because I have 5 already, the CW, GCW, KotOR, BFX CW, and BFX GCW.

So the sky for the maps is going to be changed?

Btw, Skyhammer's Kadrala v2 adds a new era to Mygeeto, that means Ive got 6 eras in the era list and its not srcolling, the 6th era is showing up under the list.

Sides look good Mav..but just a quick question regarding charging up weapons - do the AI charge the weapons up at all? It's just that there are some weapons (in game ones, custom ones with chargeup) they seem to charge all the time, and others they just don't.

holy guacamole! maveritchell has done it again! i will dload this when it comes out and no question!

SUGGESTION: i suggest using a DH-17 for the rebel blaster as in TFU: Tie Fighter Factory, where the Saboteers useda DH-17. looks really nice though, also, how about felucians//militia elites (the dudes with the chainguns).

I'm not planning on taking suggestions, but I have been pretty thorough and all those things are in there. You'll see pictures, eventually.
