RE: Texture Problems

Ah, ok. Well, I just checked over Geonosis and noted the info in there. After getting about 30 of these errors:
... I got it open. Then I noted that Texture Tile #0 is using:
Texture: geo_main_3.tga
Detail: geo_detail_1.tga
So, I closed ZE, transferred all of the files into my World folder, opened my world, killed the Terrain with ADVANCED TERRAIN, setup the info, added those EXACT files to each of the spaces provided, saved the world, cleaned my mod, munged, tested and STILL got the L8 error! Any other ideas?
BTw, Thanks for helping... Thought I should mention it.

Yep, the Option file is included in the same folder. Well, there is only an Option file for the geo_main_3.tga and none for the Detail file.
Yea, when I say killed, I meant that I used ADVANCED TERRAIN and reset my Terrain back to flat and untextured. Like starting from scratch, right? Once I did that I clicked on Tile0, typed in "geo_main_3.tga" (without quotes, of course) and pressed Enter. Then I entered "geo_detail_1.tga" in the detail box and pressed Enter. Cleaned and Munged the file. Tested and it didn't work.
I am going to try an experiment. I will leave Tile0 either empty or put the same texture I will put in Tile1. Then I'm gonna paint the surface with Tile1 and try not to use Tile0. (I will leave the Detail blank for Tile0 and not for Tile1.)
Lemme see if that works...

If you copy the Common folder along with the Editor folder,ZE & config, things like powerup droids will load in to the map - saves clicking through all those error messages.

Well, it seems to have ridded me of the error, but now I have black all around me... As if I am missing my local texture and details.
Here's what I tried:
Tile0:
Texture(s) - wipe_black.tga, NoTexture.tga, geo_main_3.tga (Each, one at a time)
Detail - nothing.
Tile1:
Texture - geo_main_3.tga
Detail - geo_detail_1.tga
Now, the error is gone, but how to fix the black part, or the part that isn't showing up?

Yea, I caught on to that... Thanks, Saturn_V. You got a take on my issues?

Here are the EXACT steps I am taking to create a world, add a texture and compile it to test. Please tell me if I am missing something.
Open BFBuilder.hta
Click Project>New Project
Create a Name for the battle: Bespin: Ground Assault
Create the Mod Id: Bsp1
Click Create
Yes. Ok. to both message boxes.
I now have a folder: DataBsp1
Move files geo_main_3.tga, geo_main_3.tga.option, geo_detail_1.tga to my World folder.
Click on Edit Bsp1. ZeroEditor Opens.
Click I Agree
In SHOW, click on OBJECTS, REGIONS, PATHS
Use the keyboard to go up and back to see my Objects and Regions
Select EDIT MODE: TEXTURE
On the right, select TILE0
On the left, type in TEXTURE: geo_main_3.tga
Type in DETAIL: geo_detail_1.tga
Set the SIZE WIDTH and SIZE DEPTH to a large number, like 60 or so
Click once on my Grid to lay down the terrain (Nice and big area)
Click on SAVE
Save my World file as Bsp1.wld
In BFBuilder.hta click on Clean Bsp1
Click on Munge Bsp1 (Command prompt shows and does it's thing)
I now have a folder in AddOns.
Cut that folder from there
Paste into my SWB folder under AddOns
Run SPTest.exe
Click through the motions to get to my world.
It's at this point that I get the L8 error. Anyone, PLEEEEEZE! Tell me what I am doing wrong here! Thank you.
Also, if possible, could you please try this with your Editor if you could. I mean, if there isn't an answer to why this is happening to me. I appreciate all of your help!

Thanks a million for looking into this further. I did add the Option file to the detail_1 but to no avail. I'm glad it isn't just me that saw it then! I appreciate the effort.
Now, into why this was a problem. I had started to make a world. I had everything going great, including CPs, spawn paths and everything. Then, when I went to play the level, it crashed. Both in regular play and in SFTest mode. The only persistent error was this L8 thing. So, naturally, I suspected that. Then I thought, "Why would this error persist under everything I am doing to correct it?" That is why I asked for assistance.
So, the crash in the game for me is more than likely not related to the L8 issue. PHEW! Now, I just wish I could have known that before starting from scratch...
Anyhow, once again, thanks for taking the time out to make sure I wasn't crazy. Maybe the info you found out about the Geonosis level will eventually help you in some way, I dunno.
L8 Error = Not really an issue to the game.
