Two notices: first, rest in peace Ellen Norman, who was my last surviving great-grandparent who passed away two weeks ago at the age of 93.
Also, rest in peace, Richard Attenborough, one of the great actors who has passed in recent months.

RIP AgentSmith_#55. She's been dead long time. I just thought I ought to say her name here. For respect and longevity.
Rest in peace, girl. We will always love you. Especially me, the dog who'll always be loyal, by your side.

May the young souls who were killed in yesterday's school shooting rest in peace, and may their families and friends find closure in their mourning.

This hits especially close to home seeing as how the school, Marysville-Pilchuck High School, is only a fifteen-minute drive from my old high school, Cascade High School. Such a tragedy. I'm sure there'll be some sort of special thing for them at the Puget Sound Festival of Bands today.

Rest in peace, Monty Oum, creator of RWBY, man behind the animation in Red Vs. Blue, and all-around amazing person.

I just heard news that a high school friend of mine, Chris, passed away the other night (not sure of the reason), and I'm absolutely shocked. He was such an amazing musician, student, and friend, even if I wasn't *terribly* close with him. I'll never forget his glowing and warm presence in my Baritone section back in 2011. It was an honor to march with him.
Rest in Peace, Chris.
