Can't find a downloaded map [Solved]

Post by MawDrallin »

I've finally decided to download a map for Battlefront 2 on my PC. I'm trying to download one of AQTOutrider's maps, this one specifically: http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.co ... ity;115155. I've tried to download it a few times, and everytime it finishes downloading, I can't seem to find it anywhere in my computer. Can anyone help me? If it helps, I'm using a Compaq Presario Notebook with Windows 7.

First off, Welcome to Gametoast MawDrallin.
Did you try searching the computer for bcc.exe after the download?(For Bespin: Cloud City (First & Final))
All of your downloads should be in the download folder, but there might be another folder specified depending on your download options.

Thanks for the welcome, Cerfon. I've tried searching my computer for bcc.exe but it always says nothing matches my search. I've looked in the downloads folder but it's empty. But, now that you mention it, once it finishes downloading, a window called 7-Zip pops up and asks if I wan't to extract the download to C:\Users\(My Computer Username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\MFOJYTCY\, and once I allow it to extract, I can't find the file.

You're probably setting it to open and not save. I don't run Win7, but XP runs the file immediately after download when you select Open, whereas choosing Save will save it to the specified folder.

It's extracting the file to that location then. If you're looking there and can't find it, try running the extractor as the administrator.

Or, if it's a hassle to find that random folder, change the extraction location to either your addon folder or the desktop and then move it manually to your addon folder.

Thanks alot guys, looks like the problem was that I was clicking Run instead of save. It appears my problem is soved now, and I'm about to run the game to see if it worked or not. But anyways, thanks guys.
