Moved to Technical Advice Forum

There are several programs that can do this, including (obviously) quicktime pro (for the mpeg, not sure of WMV support though). The thing is converting it to the screen size needed. Do a search of wmv to ipod converter in google and go down the list to see what you prefere and what not. I personally don't have a video iPod (yet) so I couldn't tell you what is good for preserving some of the quality when resizing. But hopefully I gave you a start.

PM Karnage, he knows of several inexspensive (20-50$) video conversion tools, not to mention the fact he will know which ones are good and which ones aren't

Here. I use PSP Video 9 for all my videos that go on my PSP, but it will be compatible with you Ipod. if you go to http://www.pspvideo9.com/ and go to the download lateset version, you'll be able to convert pretty any movie type to MPEG-4. Trust me, this stuff works, and it's free. The only downside is that this movie converter will sometimes screw-up the audio and video so they are about 5 seconds off from eachother, but if you plug a different formatt of the same movie through it, the program will take it and make the audio and video sync up. I hope this helps alot, because it helped me.

Also as a footnote, you can go to a Circut City or Best Buy and buy the PSP media manager to convert movies to your Ipod, but PSP video 9 is free, and the media manager is 50 dollars. Ouch!
