Carida. Lol, actually Sky, Aridia was in RC 1 and 3. So, by the looks of the name, you wanted it to be a desert planet (arid) ?
What did Aridia look like again? I cannot remember at all... and RC... that gives me an idea :)

I can't find any good images on Google, Basically, its ...arid. Dirt and rocks, that's about it.

Anyway, I made a paintball gun in Sketchup Pro today. I think it took me about 3 hours to complete.

Also: If Sketchy Pro asks if you want your model "fixed," don't do it. Or, if you do, make a backup of the original. The handle got screwed up when I said yes, and I had to "fix" it myself. Just a heads up.

@Null: That's awesome work. Just goe sto show what you can do with SketchUp

Less impressive, but:

1st Building made for Catacran :runaway: (models 1-3: asteroidsmade in XSI)
First pic shows walkway with/without windows, second attempts to show that ventilation ducts have interiors (which will be useful to recon droids/yoda since I'll make some of the grates destructable).
Buildings for catacran are being done in SketchUp (initially), while complex props/kitbashes/rocks/asteroids are being done in XSI.

Sky, that model kicks the crap out of mine for three reasons:
1- You know how to put it into BF2.
2- Mine has way too many polies for BF2.
3- Its really simple. Simple is (most of the time) better than complex.

So, do those hallway doors match the Mustafar ones?

@Null: as a model for BF2, it does. As just a model and a display of skill mine is rubbish compared to yours.
Will post pics of more stuff (got some hallways, a hangar bay, cave entrances and part of the algae roomdone) when imagesjack decides to work again. :x

More Catacran Stuff

Hangar bay for South Base
-There will be three "bases" - south, north, east. South is small but will include the Command Tower and medical centre, North is larger and will have the Cavern, observation decks and some mining stuff, East is inbetween in size and will have the the algae room, the barracks and the fighter/missile launch tubes.
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image

Auxillary generator for Cave Section (Obviously lacks cave at the moment)
-Has interior room and vents.
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
And a very early WIP of the algae room
-needs detailed props + bridge supports made in XSI, not to mention will have water + foliage + effects galore ingame
-also please ignore weird textureing on bridges - from that angle some faces aren't showing properly

Aha, now, do you plan on converting these for use, or just using this as a base idea and doing the actual model in XSI?

The second is recommended.

Great models Sky. Can't wait for Catacran.

Junk house, maybe for a Raxus Prime map.

Looks good! only thing I can see that could be changed is that the brownish junk heap texture doesn't look right in places.

And what incarnation of sketchup is that?

I had a free hour:

I haven't posted here because almost all my time is currently put on school (Did you know that ancient Greek and Latin are HARD to learn?) and I'll start being more productive in a week or 2 (when school's over)

btw
MUST read for sketchup modellers:
Hidden/Spoiler:
I FOUND A WAY TO MOVE TEXTURES AROUND :runaway:  :runaway: (other sketchup moddelers know it's a pain to do it the other way)

When you want to move around a texture, right mouse click on a the textured surface, then go Texture -> Position. Click and drag to move around (any spot, or the red spot) and use the yellow and blue spots to distort the texture and the green spot to turn the texture

And you didn't share that great knowledge?! (now I found it out a week later(by a misfortunate/fortunate mouseclick))

It's still very usefull though, and I though't I'd notice it because I asked about it a while ago myself.

EDIT:
Couldn't sit still:

It's a small factory (?at least I think it is?)
The model was done fairly quick, the "custom" skin was a pain to do.

Hit the Paint Bucket. Toggle some of the toolbars to find it, its yellow. Nice shotgun, btw.
