Here is an updated flamethrower with a proper texture. The texture IS dull, but serves its purpose in-game and looks fine. The barrel has holes in it.
In third person the green is more visible. Also the green is the gas tank. As for the wires, they are staying like that. I could clean up but about 99% actually does something usefull for the model. The first person hand is a bug, I will use a diff geometry for his hand.

Lookin' pretty good!

Could we see a better screenshot of it in XSI though, preferably one at a more diagonal angle?

More diagonal/dynamic views coming right up!
I still have the same texture. Shaded shows detail better. As for the wires its verry hard to see anything no matter how I put the camera by using orbit/pan...

It's not a bad idea, but I can't see anything through those scopes. I really think it's better to use custom scope textures than ironsight scopes.

Looks very nice.
Wouldn't fire front guns as shown in second picture, could be very bad

Nice job on the Battleship, Bob.
@Impetus: IMHO, The Ironsight/scope gives me a better aim. I might drop the idea however, only because of some screen size issues.

Try to make your own textures rather than using a part of another and just painting a stripe on it. It looks pretty bad since none of the paneling lines flow withe the shape of the ship, they're just all over the place.

Of couse it does, in BF2 units and dispensables are the only things that can sink in water.

I'm happy to tell that they don't. The cannon (it's on the back btw, not the front) just rotated to a neutral position because it wasn't needed. Even if it would shoot it would not hit the ship since the hp_fire would be inside of the model. Else that thing would be very useless

I tried to make the ship look like the ones from another game (TechAnihilation, Spring Engine) because I play that game with my friends very often and wanted to combine the massive
air-sea battles of that RTS with the awesomness of a shooter. And in this game, the ship textures also consist of random metal plates clushed all over the ship.

I ment more along the lines of can it go on land or did you think of a way of trapping it stays on the water.

It's a turret, it won't move anywhere.
