Coruscant: City mod

Okay, I am trying to mod coruscant: city to support dark times and I what I have tried is making a level with the same name and just throwing in the scripts and then saving it into the CO1 folder. So far, I have realized this won't work at all (it just isn't possible) so I need to know what is the best solution to approach for this task.

Do you have permission to do this? That's originally Rends' work, and while he distributed the assets, I can't see him being too thrilled about simply republishing the map.

I am actually gave him a PM just an hour ago asking if I could publish this, however, my original intent when I started this topic was so I could mod it for personal use only. I might release an add-on to his map if he says it is fine.
Okay, I sent him a PM and he said I could do what I want. Any help out there?
