The textures definitely need work, but I'm not a texture artist. I also need to get custom sounds working, which I am currently having some trouble doing, and also I need to get the battle rifle's muzzle flash working.
Also, the sword is supposed to have glow, but it doesn't. It does, however, use the arc caster's impact effect for it's hit effect.

well, for a first stab at a needler, that's awesome!!! I think you should use the rifle animation for the needler to stay true to halo 1, but if you've got some dual weilding comming our way..........
Also, that battle rifle looks about as accurate as you could get it, minus the textures, but you've already mentioned that. Now all we need is a Master Cheif

Then I will ask, t551t551 would you be willing to donate your weapon models to my new Halo mod? And of course you would be given credit for the models.
Commemorating 300 downloads of my BF1 Halo mod to this day.
And if you're finished with that warthog I asked you to do (quite a while ago). Could you PM me a link to download it?

Wow! Great job t551t551. Some models need a touch up in both the model itself and the texture but still great. Also Alpha found out how to add a gun effect at the barrel.

Here's the new needler model. The texture looks like someone puked on it, but the model is much more detailed:

I think the rifle needs to be bigger if you want it to look like the one in Halo.

For the needler, is it possible to make it so that when you hit someone 10 times with it, he explodes

(Porbably not) But that was that gun wasn't it? I only played Halo for 2 hours or something
As for the doublewielding, It seems like Pengiun figured out how to (and Mini' also seems to know how to do it, but in a different way)

The odst marine:
http://www.aaacinc.com/taahir/odst2.JPG
As you can probably see, he needs the serious attention of a texture medic, but I thing that the model is pretty accurate to my refernce pic:
http://www.bungie.net/SlideShow.aspx?Pa ... s&Slide=27
The texture that he has now is one that I made to check for weighting errors. In, game, he's kind of hunched over, but I guess that's the way that the skeleton was made.

wow, very cool ODST marine. I've never played halo 2 (i need to) but he looks great. also the SPNKR looks right, minus the grip animation, but you can't do anything about that easily. awesome!

The Halo 2 shotgun:
http://aaacinc.com/taahir/shotgunwip1.JPG
Questions/ Comments? I'm kind of taking myself through a learning curve on weapons, experimenting with different styles of modeling, this is one of several halo weapon models that I have made since my last post, and it's one of the ones that I like the best. So, I'm looking for comments on style -- e.g. "Too much detail" "Too little detail" etc.
Also, if you'll notice, I dumped most of the detail into the front of the wepon, because my theory is that detail matters more in first-person view, and the front of the wepon is going to be visible in fp view, whereas the stock is not. I would appreciate comments on this also.

Ok, I'll take 500 words for that one.
Not only are these awsome, you're turning them out like a machine!
I don't like the needler very much, it looks too bulky and cumbersome, but I never really liked it in the first place. The problem with the texture is that they're not realistic textures. In HALO, the purple was darker and duller and the "needles" were transparantish.
The marine needs a texture medic, lol... Sure does...
But nice models.
