I assume that if you just bought the laptop, it has Windows 7. My sisters laptop had Vista, and shortly after she bought it it kept giving her the blue-screen-of-death. to solve this I had her computer use system restore to restore to a point before she started getting problems. After that, it worked like a charm. If you try this it might help, but unfortunately it will get rid of the programs you installed after the point that you restore it to. If your computer is giving the Blue-screen-of-death, please take a picture so we can see.
P.S. Guten Tag!

In that case I would expect it to be another one of HP's "Great-Big-Hardware-Manufacturing-Faulties". They had a lot of GPU hardware manufacturing problems in their HP Pavilion DV2000, DV6000, and DV9000 models.
P.S.

/offtopic:
Guten Morgen = Good Morning
Guten Tag = Good Afternoon
Guten Namen = Good Evening
Guten Nacht = Good Night
Rosetta Stone beat Google Translate, Google Translate beats Bing Translate. Bing
sucks, bad.

No. Just, no.
Guten Tag literally means good day. So what it means depends on the time of day. Good afternoon would translate into guten Mittag, but they say Guten Tag instead. So both translators are right-ish
Guten Namen is just wrong. Firstly, since it's loose and not in a sentence, it would be gute Namen, secondly, Namen means names. Good evening is guten Abend.
And, it's gute Nacht, without the n.

Also the bing translators say that "bitte schön" means "please beautiful"

also when I put your text in the translator, this is what i got " the day is not so beautiful" which makes me even more confused. [/hide]
"Bitte schön" means "you're welcome".
And yeah, that's what anakin said

(but, more like "the day isn't that good at all")
If I use online translators, I use them to translate single words, then apply the language's rules to them. These translators always mess up sentences badly...
Anyway, *cough*, good luck with your laptop anakin
