Yes. Anything that uses non-standard eras or game modes requires the v1.3 patch. SWBF2 by itself doesn't support any custom game modes or eras.
However, the patch may or may not be bundled with the mod. I lost the source code to the
v1.3 patch so I won't/can't release another version. As such, anyone is free to bundle the
v1.3 path r117 with whatever mod they want. All you need to include are the four main lvl files to make it work and a reference somewhere saying that the lite version of the
v1.3 patch r117 is included with the mod. Bundling it should help reduce installation issues.

Like Zerted just said, this mod will be bundled with the 1.3 patch, so you won't need an .exe to open it. However, I would just recommend for any SWBF2 exe (including the 1.3 patch or any mods) to just run them on a different computer and transfer the data over to your Mac (since most .exe files are really sfx archives - which are not real executables, they're just archives like Zip or RAR or 7zip).

well, I havn't been around in a while, I just thought I'd show up the other day only to discover this. Wow, I did'nt think anything like this would be made sosoon after TFU's release.
Good luck with this...

Hokay, so. I've got all the force powers done, and you can expect an update and a video on them soon enough (and some of them are pretty nifty).
But in the mean time, here are the
other four "hero support" units. If you can correctly guess which heroes are paired with these and correctly guess which heroes are paired to the one on the previous page, you'll know all the heroes - of which
there are 10 (two heroes share units with other heroes).
Shadowtrooper
Equipment: Blaster Rifle, Heavy Blaster Pistol, Invisibility, Thermal Detonators
Felucian Warrior
Equipment: Jawbone Club, Compressed Air Sphere, Invisibility
Rogue Clone Trooper
Equipment: Blaster Rifle, Blaster Pistol, Health & Ammo, Thermal Detonators
Wookiee Defender
Equipment: Bowcaster, Ryyk Blades

Delta-1035 is right the units are great!
Manderek made real Felucian model.
You could ask him to give it to you.

Wow, that looks really cool Mav. But one thing, how come the Shadowtrooper isn't using the regular Imperial pistol?

Because the regular Imperial pistol isn't a heavy blaster pistol (
link). The DL-44 wasn't limited to only Rebel use.

For the heroes, I'm going to guess:
Wookiees-Kento Marek (I think that's his name)
Felucians-Shaak Tii
Have no clue about the others

Sorry about that, I forgot that the patch enables extra eras as well.

helmet-less clone? possible tribute to swbf3 - should it never come out? considering there are TFU-era characters in swbf3 and clones without helmets?
PIE?

Hmmm... Mav I was thinking, maybe you could have the Rogue Clone have a disguise kit so he could have his helmet off and on.

Every time I keep going back to this topic, the more it gets cooler and cooler. The shadowtrooper looks pretty tight, and you managed to pull off a Felucian also! Although I would still like to see an Incerator Trooper and a EVO trooper, you're still the man with the plan, so keep it up! And who knows, maybe you have made them and we just haven't seen them yet.
Also, are you going to attempt to make a purge trooper?

That's not how a disguise kit works.

Well because you guys have a spec ops trooper for the rebels who turns into a stormtrooper, so I was thinking you could do the skin with the helmet off, and then with the disguise kit, you could have it be a regular clone trooper uniform.

Can't wait for it! If it's anything like your previous mods, it'll be really well done!

Wait, why would we want that? It's not like it would really help in a battle...

And once again, I will tell you:
Maveritchell wrote:That's not how a disguise kit works.
A disguise kit changes the mesh of one unit's model to match the mesh of the first unit on the opposing team. This does not work mechanically
or logically:
Mechanics: The first unit mesh of the opposing team (Empire) is not a clone trooper. It would have to be to work.
Logic: Why would "putting a helmet on" be a valid attack? Why would a clone running around with a helmet on be any more of a disguise than a clone without a helmet on? Either way, it's not an Imperial.
I specifically used the helmet-less mesh because the de-helmeted clone is more personal and seems like a better fit for a Rebel unit (and it also fits better with their partner hero).
Of course, it was simply easier for me to say "that's not how a disguise kit works."
