Edited skins will not work!?!?

Hello, this is my first post but i have been looking at gametoast for a long time.
So i have started a map and have decided to do custom sides but there is one problem.
I finish the skin and have been using StarWarsBattlefrontViewer which as most of you probably know allows you to view your models and skins for both Battefront and Battlefront 2.
So when i try using my skin on the SWBF Viewer the program crashes and i have tried putting the skin into the map itself, it also crashes.
Also to clear up some other stuff, the normal skins work but if i edit them and color a single pixel and try viewing it the program crashes. I am using GIMP 2.6, when i do edit a skin it asks me if i want to resize it to export it, i have said both yes and no and nothing changes.
If any of you know how to fix this problem I will be very grateful.

welcome on gametoast!
did you save the skin with rle-compression off?
by the way: you should ask questions like this in the moddingfornm.

Welcome to GT! Are you using Windows 7 or Vista? Because if you are, you should re-save your skins once you replace the stock ones. So, you copy and paste the tga's into the msh file, and then you open up, save as, and replace all over again. Be sure to uncheck rle compression. You may want to also check out this: http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... =27&t=3726
Be sure to read the comments as well. Good luck, and I hope this helps! :D

YES!Thank you! The rle-compression was definately the problem I have tried figuring it out for months and I ask here within 2 hours the problem is solved.
I will be sure to ask such questions in the Modding Fourm but iI wasn't sure so I tried general.
Thank you for the help I am glad i joined GT now I can get things done. :)

I use Win7 and before that I used Vista and never did I have to save my changes more than once.

Also, I never ever pasted a tga into a msh file. I always put them in an msh folder.

And welcome to GT! :D
