Use terrain cutters.

Its not possible. You have to make a hill and then use a terrain cutter to cut a hole and make an interior.

Train, that made no sense. First you tell him that he can't. Then you tell him how he can.

I was wondering could you put a hanger in a hill, and the terrain cutter would work but would the terrain cutter work if you but a tunnel in the hanger.
I'm pretty much asking does a terrain cutter cut through objects?

Is it called an "object cutter?"
No, terrain cutters don't work on objects. Only terrain. To get an object with a hole in it you need a different mesh.

I knew some one was gonna say that

No You don't make any sense
Ok, so what I'm saying is that you can't artificially make a cave with just editing terrain.
What you do is you raise the terrain so you have a hill and then you use an object with a terrain cutter built in so that it cuts a hol into your wall.
From there, you build an interior made of objects.

Certain objects already have them built in such as hot_bldg_bunker

If I understand you correctly, no, you can't. The only way to make a terrain cutter is to do some XSI work. It's much easier to use something such as the Hoth Tunnel Exit or the Hoth Bunker. Terrain cutters are part of objects, they aren't their own objects.

No, it doesn't work like... A knife.
its a just a geometry... new ones can be made in XSI.
However... Unlike some others, I know why you need the cave.
Still can't find an exporter?
Anyway...
What about using a large flat or slightly curved model, skinned as a cave roof?
Then make a U shaped hill formation you could add stalagmites and such afterward.
