Can you show your error log and your entire munge log?

Odds are the game doesn't like it being called 327.lvl since those are numbers. Just out of a programmer's habit I called it rep327th.lvl so the game wouldn't get confused and think that was some sort of variable, or in this case, a parameter.

Well but i wanted to change the 501st on Felucia to the 327th but the in mission.lvl i need exact the same number as rep.lvl isn't that right ?

Side names can have more than three letters, if you want.

But if you want to hex edit the name in the mission.lvl it has to have the same letter amount as rep.lvl.

Yeah, just call it rp2 or something. I'm sure it's barfing at you because it thinks 327 is some sort of value that you want to pass to the game. Start it with a letter and keep it three characters and you'll be fine.

I'm confused, are you adding sides and hex editing mission.lvl, or are you building a brand new mission.lvl too?

I am only adding sides and hex edditing the current mission.lvl because the new mission.lvl making is too confusing

Well hex editing opens up a whole 'nother barrel of problems. I haven't needed to hex edit SWBF2 yet, so I can't really help ya anymore. If you've added or removed even one byte to mission.lvl it's likely going to break though, so I'd start over with a fresh mission.lvl, make only a few changes, save, test, if it works back it up, then continue on.
