Except DICE (aka E.A. Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment) is a subsidiary of Electronic Arts.

Shut up.
I forgot about that. It's hard to keep track of every company EA is sucking the soul out of, there are so many!
Oh and I don't think Bungie's style would be right for SWBF3, I mean sure they are a good company but they don't feel quite right. Just my opinion though.

Bungie will probably never make a game in an existing IP ever again. Halo nearly killed their creative output. I sincerely hope they stay away from established IP's liked the freakin' plague.
Such genius minds wasted on Halo for a decade.
(BTW, this is coming from a guy that Halo is his favorite game franchise ever.)

When did Bungie ever make a game based on an existing IP? You say again, and you constantly refer to Halo, so I assume you're under the impression that Halo wasn't their IP. It was.

But it's owned and controlled by M$. I have to agree that Bungie wouldn't be the best fit if they were to make SWBFIII.
Raven Software is still alive?

Yep -- but Raven's been reduced to making DLC for Call of Duty games. Sad.

That's a huge shame. Semi-better than Rare being reduced making avatar items for 360 avatars.

As a rabid Halo fan you really think that I didn't know Halo was Bungie's own creation? SMH.
I was simply relaying the fact that Bungie will be doing the same thing since their creation in 1991, creating new and exciting universes. Not staying in existing ones like they did with Halo, ala Star Wars.
EDIT: Also, Raven software would be a great developer for Battlefront. But I seriously think Lucasarts won't want to deal with the project possibly failing yet again so they will develop it in-house.
EDIT 2:

Not exactly.......... Usually saying things like this is frowned upon, but a great friend of mine's uncle is the CEO of Raven and that isn't all they are doing
To clarify, my friend and I don't know what they are doing, but they definitely aren't just working on COD maps.

Just letting you know, HALO isn't Bungie's first multi-game franchise. They've had "series" before. And seeing as nobody knows what they're making now, it's not unlikely that it'll be a series. Where they'll be working with their own existing IP for an extended period of time. Again.

You're still missing my point, but whatever. This sub-discussion isn't important.

I don't mean to revive the topic, but there is one team I'd be happy with making a BattlefrontIII. High Moon Studios. Considering they've shown a mastery of both vehicle/infantry combat, especially together, as well as of adapting franchises well into vg form, I think they'd be perfect.

Well since this topic wasn't really dead, I don't think you're "reviving" it. Anyway, High Moon Studios did well on those Transformers games. Perhaps they could pull SWBF3 off. Maybe joint developed with Lucasarts.
Although I'm highly confident SWBF3 will be produced internally at LA.

Seconded. High Moon would be a great choice, too.

Back on topic.
As you all know, Spark is now working on Lost Planet 3. What do you guys think their other game project will be?
