There is a new Battlefield 2 Patch that adds a new official map, called "Operation Blue Pearl", the previously released map "Highway Tampa" and gives you access to the booster packs Euro Force and Armored Fury for free! Additionally, you won't need your dvd to play the game anymore.

I don't know how many of you play or used to play BF2, but I for one will definetely give this new patch a try, in fact, I am reinstalling Battefield 2 as I type this down.

Sounds Interesting, I'll guess I'm going to pick up my copy of the game again now.

Already patched, but bloody college homework is slowing me down from playing. Man, I've waited 3 years to play the booster packs.

Well, I already have the Booster Packs, but there weren't many servers around to play because the packs weren't popular enough, that should change now with the new patch.

Second Post:
I got the chance to play Operation Blue Pearl today and I really liked it. The placement of flags is pretty creative at some spots and the overall idea of the map is good, it's a close quarters combat map which the American team can only reach through the use of boats and APCs.
The China campaign was missing a CQC type of map and here is one... so if you like Strike at Karkand, Road to Jalalabad (did I spell it right?) and Sharqi Peninsula, you'll like Operation Blue Pearl.

Oh yeah, I will probably be hanging around a server of some clan called "=UBR=," you can catch me there if you want to, otherwise, my X-fire is nihillo90.

OBP is a well made map, I was happy.

Lol, you're not alone. I bought the booster packs as well. But I guess it's better now that there are people actually playing those maps? We should have at least gotten a few free unlocks like in Special Forces. I'm honestly not sure if I want to download a 2gb patch though, seeing as how I already have half of its content at least.

You need the new patch to play Euro Force and Amored Fury online, DICE made some changes to the Booster Packs.

Personally I don't really need any more free unlocks, all I need right now is a MP-7 for my engineer, and I'm already half-way there to the next rank. I think Special Forces' free unlocks are enough.

I s'pose this will get me motivated to buy Battlefield 2. (Only 10 bucks at Best Buy!)
