ETA? What's that? If it's something like asking about when it will be released, that's against the rules

[EDIT]
Ohhh, thanks Penguin.
(I edited my post, 'cuz I didn't think that making a new post just to say that ^ was a good reason. :P

ETA = Etimated Time of Arrival

No, ETA = Extra-terrestrian Activity, and this means whether the map yet runs of the PC of the ISS.

I don't mind waiting. There are lots of good maps out other, really worth playing, so I don't mind waiting. It doesn't matter whether the map comes out next week, next month or next year - eventually, it will come out.

grrrrrrrrr......
You just bought the entire class an extra month of waiting. haha jk.

But seriously you should never ask when a map will be completed b/c:
1) its annoying
2) no modder in their right mind would ever put a schedule on their map
3) its against the rules

While we are still working on this map we also have lives too and school/hw takes up a big part of our lives so chill itll be done when its done.

4) the hoard of trolls on your doorstep are not amused.

Actually, I've been thinking of the "ETA" alot:
I almost have the estimated time when I start working on the sides! :D
(Mostly due to tons of HW, I have 3 major projects due on this monday:x )
(and since when is it against the rules? I'm not doubting that it is, but I've never seen it on the "rules" post)

yupyup there it is thanx Dohnutt :D

Anyways as for what ive gotten done on the citadel lately, im still working on making the forge look awesome, im almost to the point where im happy withy it so pretty soon ill be moving on to working on the dining room.
and in other news I made three totally new models for the map last night, a fire pit, a small brazier and an anvil :D
As for the amount of detail in these models, theres alot of it. I really am putting alot of effort into making these things look nice. Im not sure if theyre on par with some of the items in todays games but im pretty sure if you went back two years and slapped them into a game they would feel right at home.

Hey guys, I got some bad news (at least for me). I whole-heartedly regret saying this, but I feel I must quit out of this project. Due to a stupid computer block my father put on my computer, I can only be on the computer a few hours a day. Plus the fact that (since it is now high school) I am having more tests I need to study more. Also, part of my allowed timeis spent on the computer is taken up by notes done on the computer. Also, I have to read a lot more due to stupid AR, and also the fact that I am taking two classes which students would regularly take a year after me. Yet again, I am deeply sorry for all of this a wish I could have done more. But alas, I cannot. If anyone would like to follow up in my footsteps and take the map from me, I would gladly give it away. But there is the fact of the map crashing my entire game, which I think to be due to an edited odf I did. I will try to help out when I can, but I don't think I will be able to do much.

 Nooo!
I know how it is, Slayer :P My parents only allow me to be on the PC 2hrs a day, but doing homework doesn't count. I would normally gladly take this map from you, but I am currently working on my own map, and have many other priorites, including highschool :(

Sad to see you go man, but thanks for all the work you did on this.
I know what you mean about school though, it just eats up your life.
I'm taking all honors this year (8th grade) plus going up to the high school for 10th grade math. The homework is horrid.
Sorry about the computer block, that's a pain to have to live with.
I can take this map and see what I can do, but I would only work very slowly, for above reasons.
Good luck in school.

(P.S. I hate AR too, fortunently at my school we only have to take 3 AR tests per year, but still, I'd rather read what I want to.)

Ouch sucks Slayer I was wondering why you wernt on Xfire these past couple of days. We got some awesome work done together and its a shame to see you go but i totally understand your circumstances.

Moving on however, we need another mapper, Slayer did some great work on mapping the terrain which im sure hed be happy to share. What still needs to be done though is the object placing and the AI planning, if we could get someone who could do that, that would be awesome.

I wish you the best of luck Sayer and I sincerely hope that we can find a new mapper that lives up to the great work you did.

Note: Even if nobody picks up the position of mapper I will be sure to make this my first map for BF2142 so look forward to that :D

The official call out:

We need a new mapper.

n0bs if you could sometime change the title to reflect this need that would be awesome.

Well I just realized that I have as much time as I can want on the computer for the weekends, but I fear it still is not enough. Although I may not be a mapper anymore, I'd still gladly test out models or other stuff if my replacement is not on Xfire or whatever yoyam and n0bs. And, to the new mapper, please (if you choose to try it out) don't be a first-timer with no experience whatsoever that gets stuck at the simplest of trials, know what you're doing. And, if you ever have any problems or questions I will always try to help if I'm on Xfire ot whatnot.

Very cool Slayer we had some awesome times working together. In reality the only time I really get any work done on the citadel is over the weekends so well still keep you on as a part of this project and well work on the weekends if you're able.

Anyways weve got a buncha people working on a whole lotta stuff. Im modelling, n0bs is modelling, crazytieguy is modelling, Jabba is modelling, bac talan is skinning and making the sides and jango is making some new abilities for us. Along with Slayer who is still helping map a little when he can, we need a new mapper that has some experience in AI paths and placing objects so the position of leap mapper is currently open to anybody that is reasonably proficient w/ ZE.

I can do the map for you again, but when, and only when, all the objects are made and the vehicles are done. Otherwise, it would be a hassle to map, that's why I couldn't do anything the first time.

it is sad to see you go out of this project Slayer, and thats comin from me...lol.

i would stand up and take the map, but unfortunately i am in a similar position of not having much time spare to do it....plus i'm still in the planning stages of my own map/s.

WE? They. :D
And, not exactly, because n0bs has pretty much come back. And actually Slayer says he can work on the weekends, so... Not entirely lost :P

Sorry for bumping this old topic, but I just wanted to tell you that n0bs has left. He told me that over Wndows Live Messenger. Jedi Administrators, I think you should lock this topic...
