Yah, XSI doesn't work for me, which is why I use sketchup, but everybody's too busy to export my models, so they don't do much good.

I'm in the same boat. Hey, Fett, I got a way to get around all that
without XSI, although its a bit complicated, and will require you to download a few things. But then again, 3DS is a pretty good modeling software, and with your skills I have no doubt you'll get it, even though I haven't.
That's how I did mine, although it came out a little rough. That's why I have the request in the request thread. Oh well.

You probably also need to freeze everything in 3DS. I don't know how, though.

I saw an option to do that while the model is in 3DS, but that was when it was already shrunk. I think its the FBX converter. I'll check it out. But I still can't get textures to work.
