He models in sketchup, so it's problematic for him.

Yah, XSI doesn't work for me, which is why I use sketchup, but everybody's too busy to export my models, so they don't do much good.

I'm in the same boat. Hey, Fett, I got a way to get around all that without XSI, although its a bit complicated, and will require you to download a few things. But then again, 3DS is a pretty good modeling software, and with your skills I have no doubt you'll get it, even though I haven't.
Hidden/Spoiler:
1: Like you wrote in the .skp - .msh tutorial, export the .skp to a kmz, and extract the files.
2: This explains how to get your .dae from the extracted files into .3DS, which you'll have to open with a 30-day version of 3DS Max. Basically he talk about getting a .dae -> .kbh / .kbh -> .3ds converter.
3: Get that trial version of 3DS, and open your newly converted model. You'll have to make some adjustments to it (fix rotation, scale up, textures, etc).
4: Export your model to VRML97 (.wrl) from 3DS Max.
5: Get and open Tipam's MSH Viewer, and drag the .wrl into it. Click save as, and it should save to .msh Make sure all of these conversion go to the same folder to minimize your hassle of running around your Explorer window.
That's how I did mine, although it came out a little rough. That's why I have the request in the request thread. Oh well.

You probably also need to freeze everything in 3DS. I don't know how, though.

I saw an option to do that while the model is in 3DS, but that was when it was already shrunk. I think its the FBX converter. I'll check it out. But I still can't get textures to work.

All the lots are filled, but Rep may be kicking inactive people out of their lots after he finished BA2.0.
