I know, it just took some time to find a working link. Im working on it now, I think the captain will use it also. I wish I had a better cape tough, it looks a bit strange when you play.

When I saw this, I was like, WOOHOO! Shas'la! and then I saw the Tau. Holy crap are they screwy. First of all, the Light viewport things, they're red, not green. Secondly, PLEASE use that one guy's Idea of the Tantive trooper for the fire warriors, or make a new model. You might be able to edit the Tantive trooper model to have a flattened face, but I don't know.
And for the record, Fire warriors look like this.

[EDIT] Magnaguards=as good of a Necron as you can probably get w/o modding models.

I know the Tau look terrible, but they will be re-made, i promise. I just have to finish the imperials and such. The screens were just to show they eould be included.
It will be difficult to make bulky armor by reskinning, and the eye thing were green cause I used a DOW screenshot where they were green as reference. Ill make it red. And the magnaguard thin is a good idea, Ill try it.
But keep in mind, this wont be as detailed and high quality as Battlefield 40k, Im just one person using GIMP 2.

Yeah, everything would be grat if it was possible to mix soldier parts. Many models have one thing in common with a 40k unit and one thing that doesn't fit at all. When I have released this mappack Ill maybe try and recruit a team and make it a total conversion of much better quality and custom maps. Or Ill learn xsi myself, but I tried before and its really hard.


BTW I got the vibrosword working but its black and I cant find the texture. Does anyone know where it is?

Is that really worth it? It's a lot of work, besides, I think your Tau reskin of the clonetrooper's quite good, more than good enough I'd say. Same goes for your space marines, great job on those skins!

Thanks, I guess theyre okay really. The first map in the series is now pretty much finished, it will be Coruscant Temple with re-skinned objects, CW will be Imperial Guard vs Chaos Cultists, and GCW will be Space Marines vs Chaos space Marines. Assault mode will have tau, eldar and necrons as well. The only thing left to do is to fix the black vibrosword, the deplayable turret for IG, and some details on the skins. Hope to release it sometime this weekend.

Hm.....this just reminded me, a you going to add Tau pathfinders? Maybe you could put them as the basic trooper then the fire warrior as the elite unit, makes sense since the Tau Fire Warrior pwns. And I think that you can add the sand trooper's back pack to another unit, i think there was one unit like that in the conversion pack

Well, Fire warriors are basic soldiers though. Pathfinders are Snipers. Even though they can't hit the broad side of a Imperial Guard Barracks. Anyway, Vespid Stingwings, Kroot Carnivores, Shas'ui (officers), or XV-25s ([stealth suits] need new model) now those are your elite units.

Or the XV8 Crisis? Or the drones? Or the unstoppable onslaught that is the Tau's armored vehicles? And we can't forget the unforgettable XV88 Broaadsides! You may need to make new models.

The map Im releasing first will only have basic tau in hero assault, but in the next, they will be more featured. i was planning to re-skin the probe droids and make them stronger and use them as drones. The officers and battle suits and such would need new models, but in the beta ill just have to use shipped ones. I tried to make kroot from tusken, didnt look very good tough.

edit: Btw the units may not have the right stats or rank and such, Ill just use whatever fits best as snipers, soldiers and assault troopers etc.

EDIT AGAIN: Seems like it wont be released right away after all. The coruscant map comitted suicide by stopping to work and nothing could be done to fix it. So Ill have to make a new one. But I managed to save the sides at least. Right now working on Ultramarines, they look way better than the Blood Ravens btw. (mod wise)

UPDATE: Took a bit longer to update cause Ive been having exams and such, but these are screens from the new map. Btw I changed the SM tank to the rebel combatspeeder. Looks like a whirvlewind tank or something. And all SM are darktroopers now except for the scouts.

Still not completley finished of course, and I still haven't managed to fix the gcw crash. The Eldar will get new units and if anyone knows how to get the vibrosword blades skin working please tell me.

You mean he's no longer active or something? Im completley open for suggestions for weapons and such. I tried Caleb1117s new gun as a boltgun. Its slightly too big, but it could be a good heavy bolter of an IG plasmagun.
