I don't know if this has been asked before, but would it be feasible to change external links to open in a new window instead of going off site. This would just make it more convenient without having to use the back space arrow every time.

Or (with newer internet browsers) click the link with your middle mouse button to open the link in a new tab.

You didn't know? I've been using it for a very long time now, I wouldn't know how I'd surf without is. (it's a blessing to never click away home/index pages when opening links)

While you're at it,
middle mouse click browser tab = close browser tab
ctrl + t = new tab
ctrl + tab (key) = cycle through tabs (or ctrl + page up/down)
alt + tab (key) = cycle through windows
windowskey + tab (key) = cycle through windows 3d style on vista or later
ctrl + left/right arrow key = jump cursor to beginnings of words
ctrl + up/down = jump to beginnings of paragraphs (in ms word)
ctrl + backspace = backspace entire word
ctrl + delete = delete entire word
ctrl + home = go to top of document (in a text field)
ctrl + end = go to end of document (in a text field)
shift + alt = change language (in language bar)
windowskey + e = windows explorer
windowskey + r = run (I use this as a faster way to run notepad or mspaint)
windowskey + d = show desktop
windowskey + l = lock computer
windowskey + u = utility manager
windowskey + m = minimize all windows
windowskey + shift + m = un-minimize all windows

That's my favourite, although now with Windows 7, I just point my cursor to programs on the taskbar.
Anyway, thanks Rep, that's a really useful list.

I didn't even try to think my way through that. Even when it said "Would you like to save these tabs for the next time it starts?" I clicked No.
