I've recently started working with partical editor and I need some help making a repeating "red flare explosion" effect. I want to use the explosions in space - just like the game we all know and love "lego starwars". I know there are some particle editor guides out there, but I'm just having trouble making and prefecting these explosions. Here's a video showing the red explosions I want.

I just basically need a guide on how to make these explosions. If someone prefects the red explosion in particle editor than you can publish the download here on gametoast and tell me so I can download it to.

You could probably borrow things from mus_sfx_lavaburst.fx, nab_fireworks.fx and nab_sfx_fountain.fx to get you in the ballpark.

Thanks for the ideas AceMastermind but I’m still having trouble trying to change the effects that you gave me into the red explosions. Can someone pleases guide me through making the red explosions I barely know where to start
