Hey guys, so I've finally decided to come back, again, to modding. But I've come back to my map and noticed a problem I think I either forgot or wasn't there before. Either way, I don't know how to solve it. I'm getting these black spots over what I assume is where a channel should be. I don't know how to get rid of them.
- It works fine on other maps.
- The problem is only visible under the highest lighting setting.
- I am using a directional light.
- I tried adding a -vertexlighting parameter to the .msh.option file.
- There is no RLE compression on the textures.
- The problem is not repeatable when tested on other maps.
Could it be a video card error? Maybe your computer can't keep up with the game when it's on the highest lighting setting.

Could be that, my graphics card sucks, and I have black patches on the Mos Eisly terrain on high light settings.

I know that, but our point is unchanged, are you still using the same computer that you had all those other problems with?

By that do you mean all my previous problems? No. This is a new Windows 7.

Is the problem there after removing the directional light?

Well, this is pretty weird. I removed the light, but it thinks it's still there. I cleaned, manual cleaned, still nothing.

Can you post a pic of what it looks like on the other maps?

Hey, sorry about the delay. Here you go:

Test map using similar factors from the other map (sky, fog, lights, etc.)

I'm going to try something different, though. I'm going to delete every single affected object in my map, delete their .mshs, .odfs, anything that could link to them, and placing them back in there. Would that work?
