But of course this begs the question: Will there be multiplayer space? Then it could be the first game that has battles on the ground plus battles in sp..... oh wait, that's been done.

Reach Firefight is completely customizable. You can edit waves, add generators, have rocket spawns...

And yes, I probably should go to sleep as it is now 4:40 AM.

I can't wait for firefight! I love that they put matchmaking in i was getting tired of just playing with my brother... That new orbital strike pistol thing (for lack of a better name) is AMAZING! They posted the trailer for it HERE

Look at the renders on bungie.net, there's something new called a concussion launcher and some pretty sweet looking grunts.

When this game comes out, I will be remaking my old laserball gametype, "Whack the Frog," and I will also be remaking it into Firefight, "What The Firefight."

I'll be posting the link to it on my fileshare in September. :P

Haha, I remember whack the frog. That was exactly what I was thinking when we played it :P
First of all, Customization of firefight... Though it's awesome, I really wonder what kind of easy firefights are gonna be coming out of it, and skulls. (Let's hope for Elite Birthday Party :P )
Second, anyone else see the similarity between the new hunter and a collector from ME2, just... larger?
EDIT: Just watched the trailer again. Anyone wonder what was with that paintbrush thing?

Not that, I saw it in th firefight trailer on bungie.net. Click! It's at around 38 seconds. The big blue circle.

That is the orbital strike gun. It tags an enemy and lets you see the blast radius of the missiles.

I have spent over 90 hours in Forge alone. I also have had 4 featured maps on Forgehub (the biggest Halo 3 forge community) so this news brings me great joy. (If it's true, of course)

I have dabbled with Far Cry 2's map editor at a friends house, and I was very impressed. Though, the apparent lack of basic building blocks turned me off from it fairly quickly. The terrain editing was nothing less than stellar, though, and I would love to see Reach adopt something like it in some shape or form.

Has anyone else noticed that Grunts will rocket around if you shoot their tanks off?

Look here, about 2:48. Rocket-propelled grunt flies into the air and explodes.

Hmm -- per that video any armor premutations you gain for single player will show up in all cutscenes. Nice. :thumbs: I hate it when games don't do that.
