Are there any sort of leaks on new game systems?

I'm considering getting an Xbox 360 for Christmas, as the only new-gen gaming system I have is a Wii, and, well, 'nuff said. Also, I'm considering getting a 360 because I'm practically living in gaming isolation as I don't have the systems to play any of the new games I want to now. The only thing I could use for new games is my computer, but some games just aren't meant to be played on the computer.
Does anyone know if there is any sort of leaking information onto when something to surpass the Xbox 360 will be coming out?
I don't want to buy a system, only to have its predecessor come out a few weeks or so later.
That's what happened to me when I bought a PS2.

With the Kinect and Move out, I doubt there will be anything new for quite some time. Both Sony and Microsoft, the only real companies that will get attention when they release a console (aside Nintendo, whose console you already have) will be pouring money into development for the Kinect and Move. Both the Kinect and Move as far as I know are "attachments" to the companies previous consoles, so I doubt any new hardware will be out soon.

Honestly, if you just want to play single player, I'd wait for the 3DS. It's not a console, no, but with all the classic remakes like Orcarina of Time or Kingdom Hearts (plus a Virtual Console for old gameboy games. Every single Pokemon generation in your pocket. At once. Here's hoping, eh?) as well as spetacular looking original titles like the new Kid Icarus or Metal Gear, it looks like it's going to be a blast. That, and rumor has it that its got the graphical capabilities comparable to an Xbox 360 or a PS3 (SOURCE:
http://uk.gear.ign.com/articles/112/1122613p1.html). The handheld, though pricey, shows promise for single player gaming. Sure the 3D is kinda gimmickey (sp?), but you can turn it off.
However, if multiplayer gaming is what you're going for, then yeah Nintendo probably isn't the best choice. I haven't heard anything about new systems from Microsoft or Sony, yet (though there are rumors that Apple might but Sony, google "Apple Sony").

Both Microsoft and Sony have made themselves clear about the fact that they want to keep these systems going as long as possible. I think it's very safe to go ahead and buy either a PS3 or 360.

Ah, darn. 360s aren't all that you know. Anyway, if I were you, I would definitely go and buy a 360. I have a ps3, but I am a weird guy and online sucks because its free. 360 has no hackers (I think) so yeah. Hope that helped.

There are j-taggers and stuff, but Xbox 360 for online is like 1000x better than PS3 for many reasons.

The above statement is true as long as you don't play CoD. If you do, prepare to be playing the only game on the XBox that has hackers/modders in online MP. However, I don't see why you would play it, so the XBox is a better value if you're going for online. If you want better offline stuff, I think the XBox is still better, though I'm not as sure about that.
