you need to create an option.msh file to make it smaller. Are you familiar with that? :)

Use Dev textures and say it's a dev map :thumbs:

Just to clarify, these models literally have no textures nor texture mapping at all. I mentioned this on the last page, but think of them as a set of invisible collision files. The game has these so you can see a pretty high-poly model, but it doesn't have to do physics calculations against that -- it uses the a lowrez one you can't see.

Anyway, the collision will be a great placeholder while recreating the map.

Oh I know, I'd actually made a note to do it when I had them up in XSI but forgot.

Also does anyone know if the grayscale textures included in the weapon downloads are intended to bumpmaps or specular maps? They look like specular maps, but after BF1 and 2's crazy weapon bumpmaps I'm not so certain.

I converted those physics objects from the Coruscant map so you can explore the layout in SWBF2:

EDIT
Changed the map name from Cor_outside to Cor_bg since it was converted from that rax file.
Added the distant landscape mesh to the map.

EDIT2
Scaled up the map objects

The idea here is to turn off AI, spawn in and use Freecam or run around and explore.

:o Wow! I just tested it and I am surprised. Looks smaller than expected :funny2: Just a joke. I am glad you got this layout working, Ace. I personally would really love to try to convert this layout into a full, playable Battlefront 2 Map (If you didn't already do.. :wink: ). I wonder if the textures were included too after converting these objects? Anyway would you mind sharing them with us..?

It's cool exploring it. But I do think it needs to be a touch bigger than it is: you still get stuck in some of the doorways.

Someone should do like a video on that coruscant map i'd just like to see what it looks like in SWBF2 even if it is a test.

Alright so slight change in plans i was going to do republic vehicles but i'm doing Imperial Vehicles tonight.

Theta Barge and Tie Bomber are messed up, the Tie Bomber looks fixable so i'll work on it and get it uploaded when i do.

Out of curiosity would Bespin be the same given what we have seen of it indicates it's an object-made map like Coruscant?

Bespin is pretty much the same but all of it's outer building props are at 0,0,0 so you'll need to move them into place it also has the tibanna gas plateform collision in it but it's a sepreate model that can be loaded so i'll probably go through and get all the maps and upload them for you guys.

This is looking pretty good!

I do have one or two things to point out regarding the layout. It's going to be tricky to have AI on this map with regards to the tower in the centre of the map - either there can be no pathing in the tunnel or in the middle room of the tower (I don't actually know if you can cross paths for vehicles and soldiers). I'm sure it can be done though. At the least it might be doable with the clever use of barriers.
