Double post. And the weapon the engineers currently have are actually C4 style... only they blink so your oponent knows they are there.

The mod sounds awesome, dl the video now. But from the screenshots, are there really only 4 soldiers per team? It seems kinda small, even for a team-based shooter.

you should change the grenades around like in my map officers and elite troops have thermal detonators ((alot of dammage and large range)), snipers have plasma grenades ((stick to everything)), jettroopers and stuff have concussion grenades ((make the shake for them high and last for 5 seconds, good for MP)) and frag grenades for normal troops ((small range, normal grenade damage))

Sounds like we need the RC soundtrack.

The video was good, but the AI was rather quiet. Why ? They usually never really quit saying something.

And Snipers should always win a firefight on longer distances:

I was thinking of doing something like this with my friends, except make it EXACTLY like counter strike...With the character selection, guns, health, ai difficulty, and etc. But yes, this is a VERY good idea. Oh, and add some nice SMG's, that'd be cool. Or a Krieg like rifle. THe krieg owned. But then again, new weapons take far too long.... just stick with the ones we have, the dreams of a krieg sniper rifle in battlefront 2 are hopeless anyway. It is nearly impossible to remake such a finely crafted rifle.

@Protector_Pulch:

The AI was quiet because I had the music>sound. I can post a version with no music if you want, but it would be pretty weird with the constant scene switching.

aah, I only dreaded that you had deactived the AI's constant chatter.

After doing some research, I found this:

Eisenfaust's Realism Mod - If you've got BF1, you could take a peek into this, it basically the same you want to to,just for BF1.

I have played that mod. Only reason I still have BF1 installed.

Actually, weapons are pretty quick. If you could give me more description about what this rifle does, I could PROBABLY make it, and in a short amount of time. Just to give you some example of how easy the BFII engine is to mod weapons with, here are just a few things I can change:

-The speed, damage, color, and trail of a bullet.
-The number of rounds in a clip
-The number of discharges in a pull of the trigger (this can be a scatter rifle like what the engineer has or a burst fire like modern automatic weapons)
-Reload time
-Gun kickback
-Shot accuracy (how far the gun scatters shots from where you aimed it)
-Range
-Scope range

So yeah. Don't be afraid to mention it ;)

Well, a krieg is a very lethal sniper rifle. Its a semi automatic, and has a suprisingly strong scope. not exactly sure HOW strong, but probaly slightly stronger than the normal rifles. Anyway, it kills an enemy in about one and a half normal shots, and kills in one headshot (obvious). I was thinking of some reskinning, but i'd need to dig up the images, which shouldnt take too long.... but the actual skinning might take longer. I'll look into it. As for accuracy, it is highly accurate, definitely more accurate than the standard rifles we have. As for range, its probably about 50-100 feet above from its max scope range. Speed of the bullet in mont sure, but very fast, color is that of a standard modern bullet, and trail is hard to notice. Reload time is about 1-3 seconds, ill also have to check that.... number of discharges per shot is 1, and kickback is about up to your upper chest / shoulder.

Hi all. Nice idea. Tao, you were talking about reinforcments. Is it like, a 4-5 man team, like the SWAT games? Because this is looking good so far.

It's a 4-12 per-side game. That's the plan, at least. I'm still mucking around with reinforcement counts. I want it to be zero, but it's proving difficult.

Or deactivate drain-bleeding and equal out player amount and reinforcement , so that if you put both bar on the same place, there's one reinforcement for each player.

Whoah, there. Sorry about the lack of updates recently; I've been busy elsewhere. Just posting to tell you, I have a major update coming soon.
