2) Ah, I see. Well, I guess that would be Super Battle Droid in English. And to note on the original comment. SKD/SBDs are blue in the cartoon. (Both the old cartoon and the new CGI cartoon)
3) I understand now, and thanks
6) Its how that weapon is held, since we have no real world weapon like that, we cant compare how we would hold it. I know it looks a little weird, but thats just how it is held.
Thank you for clarifying

2) in the video it looks as if they are yellow??
6) i think it looks wierd because in the cartoon they didn't move while shooting and they stand crooked to the back and holt the weapon a bit in front of the body. they stand sideward to their weapon. in your animation they holt the waepon at the sideward to their body and the trigger is on high with their leggs. that makes it looking unhuman. make the Unit stand sidewards to the weapon and i think it will be better
compare

This is how it is held in TCW

Well, to make myself clear before i get into this, i like the z6 animation in your mod just fine. It does NOT need to be changed. But when you said that there is no real life weapon to compare it to, you were wrong. We have a minigun (or at least an airsoft minigun =P) and they hold it similar to your mod AND to the old cartoon. It depends on the person.

If your referring to the Nerf Vulcan belt fed EB-25 Minigun (which I have seen a thousand commercials for because every single commercial break while watching TCW I see a nerf commercial, its a running joke with my dad now) , then I still say I am right. We have no REAL underhanded chaingun in the REAL world that is used by any troops of any nation. I defy you to prove me wrong.

You're actually both right. No "minigun"-style weapon is used in real life, because the recoil such a weapon would exert would make it impractical. However, there is a weapon that was prototyped in this fashion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XM214_Microgun (and it was ultimately deemed impractical).THEWULFMAN wrote:SAMofBIA wrote:Well, to make myself clear before i get into this, i like the z6 animation in your mod just fine. That said, if you're looking for a real-to-life approximation, the (Tartakovsky) cartoon is closer to supporting what it would really look like than the animations here - held off to the side as it is (in this mod), there would be no effective force behind it being held and you'd get spun around by the recoil - having it more towards your front allows you to exert more force and to plant your body behind the weapon. That said, I think you're all making a huge deal of a non-issue. A lot of justifications can be made either way, but there are things of much greater import that the author should focus on before he tweaks something silly like a gun animation.

Okay... Um... do laser guns even have recoil?
Seriously? But yeah, it really doesn't matter. It may be unrealistic but so is robots trying to take over the world fighting people who can move thing with their minds and have lightswords.

The Z6 and other republic weapons fire plasma laser (goes into rant about how it makes sense)

Dude, those are some pretty nice screens. The only bummer is that I won't be able to try out this fantastic mod once it gets released because SWBF2 isn't available for Mac users and I don't have the parallel for Win7 installed yet...
