it's probably high time I crunched down and tried to figure out how to get my model to export right. Though, it's rather dull at the moment, I may want to remodel... again...

Nothing could be duller than an empty lot

Wow, looks like everything is coming together just great, Rep! All this fantastic work from everyone makes my building look like rubbish. Speaking of which, will it be all right if I redid my lot, now that I have more experience with mapping?

You can do whatever you want. :) The deadline will be somewhere near the end of July though (I've yet to set a specific date).

Wow, it's looking great!
Made some progress on my lot, so here it is so far:

I know that it's not much, but there really isn't much for me to show off. Besides, it's still very much WIP.

Rep. That's awesome! (You can tell which one's mine by the ugly neon orange lot with a pole sticking through the roof...) I'm in the possess of redoing it, though.

I noticed my ship wasn't there. Was there a problem with it? If there was, what was it so I can prevent it in my current lot. Thanks!

Oh, and fluffy, looks good so far! Is it a mining site?

EDIT: I may have asked this before, and I think I have, but where did you get the Urban Map Pack with all the buildings.

I haven't gotten to vehicle spawns yet in my to-do list, it's probably fine! :)

Where did I get the Urban Map? I made it.

@Fluffy, thats a garden right? Looks like it's off to a good start.

Ok, cool. Let me know if there are any problems with the spawn when you get to it.

Oh. Of course you made it... lol. No wonder I feel like n00b sometimes. It's because I am one... :?

There's something funny about that picture... oh yeah:

I don't mind, though. What confuses me is that I don't remember sending a Jedi Starfighter skin with my lot submission. Apparently I did.

EDIT: Gah! If I knew there would be floor under my lot instead of grass, I would have put something beside floor tiles. *facepalm* Can I re-send you my lot submission, Rep?

Here's the start of my noob lot (I am think of making it a noob hideout)

Not textured yet (ugh) but I'm thinking of breaking it up into three objects for texturing ease. Also, this is based on the fact that a Blender square is twice as long as an XSI square.

@CressAlbane - That looks like a good start as well. Like I said before, an empty lot is absolutely the worst. Shipped models are ~ok~, but a custom model is the best case.

Converted anikan fighter from JKA for Teancum:

Thanks to Zymotico for original model, Deviss for conversion to obj.

Well, I suck at texturing.

I'm going to add in some objects from the DMI assets ingame to have more of a lobby-ish feel.
Maybe a sign..."NOOB HQ: By noobs, for noobs!"
:D

@CressAlbane - most noobs I know can't model or texture at all, so you are above them I think

Yay!
Now I'm putting ingame in my old Sullust map that I never finished, make sure it works.
It's in. However, I think I need to re-color the floor...

Yeah, it's mostly a garden. Wasn't sure what else to do, so I figured I may as well. I mean, I am gonna add more.

Working on floor 2!
It's going to have my custom starfighter in it...of course.
Export failed on the second floor, sigh.
Guess I'll remake it, but my starfighter came out nicely, I think.

finally finished the main part of my building :D now it just needs some props and windows. Though, I did slightly underestimate it's hight, the part that's supposed to connect to the skyway is 3 times as tall as rep's building, and that's only halfway up. This is REALLY a skyscraper I guess.

Remember height of upper streets is EXACTLY 175 units tall
