Hello, I realize that many of you are not big rts fans, but still. I was wondering if you know of any good, reasonably recent (last 3 years) real time strategy games on the market.
I do not like fantasy games, I am ok with science fiction, I do not like M rated games. I would like something with role playing elements, progression and something that wont take to long per game session.
thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head try Age of Empires Online.

These are fairly recent I think:

Starcraft 2
Company of Heroes (online)

I'm not sure what you mean by roleplaying elements in an RTS game, but I don't think these two have any of that in them.

Empire at War, and it's expansion Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It is not as spectacular as Star Craft1/2, but it is great for Star Wars fans.

I have thought about it and I have decided that I do not want to get another rts at this time, so the moderaters can close this thread if they wish.

But as a closing remark. I will point out 3 upcoming rts that i thought other people into rts games would be interested.
Gemini wars a spce based rts spanning across several star systems. here's the moddb page:

Oil rush a naval rts with tower defence type gameplay implemented. moddb page:

and the most ambitous rts in a while Wargame a game with amazing graphics and 320 units, plus progressive campaigns. here is thw website:http://wargame-ee.com/
