Maximum Terrain Size in Zeroeditor? [Solved]

To anyone who has made a large map for this game before: what's the largest terrain you can create without causing the editor to crash? I've done a bit of experimenting myself, but I've noticed that making terrain that the game considers to be too big doesn't crash the editor immediately; it instead tends to crash suddenly when I'm applying textures to it and such, so I often don't know that the terrain is too large until it's too late. Since I'm currently making a larger map, I'd like to set the terrain to the largest possible size in advance so I have plenty of room to work with, and so that I know how much space on my map I should reserve to create a decently-looking and large border of inaccessible mountains.

1024 by 1024 i tried 2048 and that crashes the editor. The map has to be to the power of 2 for example 128by 128 or 256by 256 or 1024by 1024

Unless you're going a huge, and I mean huge battle usually 512x512 is the recommended max. I mean 1024x1024 works fine from a technical standpoint, but it makes for very sluggish gameplay.
