Sooo, it's been over 4 years and I finally found my way back here.. Don't think anyone remember me but.. Hello again Gametoast!
I was quite surprised to see the that the community is still alive (though much smaller) after all this time.. but it's still sad that most of the people from the good ol' days are gone..
Anyways.. a while back I found a lot of my old SW games for pc and ps2 and nostalgia kicked in.. Didn't take long until I had installed bf2 and downloaded the modtools again, and now I've spent the last week reading through the gt forums and playing with the modtools.. Don't know if I'll actually get around to create a new map/mod but right now I feel quite psyched.

Hello, friends.

Just stopping by to say hello, and let you know that I'm always lurking. It's nice to see some old faces around here, and it's even nicer to see some new ones continuing on an over ten year tradition.

I haven't modded, textured, or modeled anything in a long, long time. Life catches up with you sometimes, and next thing you know, you've forgotten your passions, or moved on to something else.

I'm currently working as a manager for RadioShack. I just recently assisted with the closing of a few Seattle area stores. If any of you are up to date on the news with RS, you know the company goes up for auction on the 23rd and closes on the 26th. In a week, I might not have a job.

Who knows, I may find myself dropping in to old habits.

Best wishes to all of you. Old friends, don't lose your passion for modding. New friends, don't give up. It's very hard and difficult at first, but what you learn here will not only be valuable in other design-related areas, it's also an invaluable life lesson on following through with what you start.

Just as an introduction, I create mods for Garry's Mod using Lua as well as dabble in Unity and C#.

Honestly I was a little curious about modding Star Wars Battlefront 2 and was pretty excited when I found out it uses Lua and then I was even more suprised that a forum existed with an active modding community for the game.
