Now that I think about it, there are two gripes that I have:
-Apparently it is very easy to convince Anakin to dip into the Dark Side. "In order for you to avoid your dark future, you must ally yourself with me, the Dark Side incarnate."
-If the Son loses his power when the Father dies, then why did he try to kill him in Altar of Mortis? My only guess is that he would still retain his power so long as Daughter was still alive.
And this is just a small nitpick, but it seems like Anakin, whose been established as an expert mechanic, should have been the one trying to repair the ship rather than Ahsoka, who (as far as I know) hasn't been shown to have any notable mechanical knowledge. I don't think the plot required her to have intimate knowledge of mechanics to know which ship part to take (in order to keep it from taking off).

EraOfDesann wrote:Great episode, and I seriously doubt it was a dream.
My only question is whether or not the three of them remember anything that happened. Obviously Anakin won't remember the Son's glimpses of the future, but will he remember anything else? It'd be sort of lame if they remember what happened but never mention it again. It reminds me of that old Simpsons episode that ends with Lisa or someone saying, "Now everything's back to normal and we'll never speak of this again!"
Part of me wants to see an alternate storyline in which Anakin and the Son actually leave Mortis together. I don't think even Sidious or Yoda could beat the Son.
hmmm.... at the end anikan sais to rex that he wont believe what happened so obviosly they remember it. and about leaving the planet... maybe all of the clones, droids, jedi, sith, and bounty hunters could probobly defeat them with their combined thrength! in 1 epic battle!

I would have to agree with you there. Ashoka didn't really strike me as the "knowledgeable mechanic". Especially like you said, to know the exact component to take out of the ship in order for it not to work. I'm surprised Anakin didn't try to help her in annoying way like showing her what parts go where (even though she apparently does already know) and that kind of thing.

For some reason my post didnt get posted earlier
Any, try again.
I thought having ahsoka be the one repairing the ship makes perfect sense. I felt that Anakin has been teaching her, and was just letting her do it to test her. Plus, my dad liked it because it goes against the stereotype of "women cant be mechanics"

Yeah, but the thing is I don't recall Anakin ever giving her the 411 about mechanical repair jobs.

If 411 means what I think, then I have to say you mostly never see them sleeping, or eating or taking a shower or something like that, but does that mean they never do?

Wait, what?!

It's a little hamfisted, yes - but it could be justified as Anakin's character. He's a very "ends-justify-the-means" kind've guy. By joining with Brother, he was provided (or at least promised) a means to:
a) Bring "peace" to the galaxy
b) Prevent his wife from dying
c) Prevent a
world from being destroyed
d) Prevent anything else he saw in his vision
I'm not a huge fan of the characterization of Anakin as someone who'll shortsightedly seize an opportunity
right then if it looks like he can prevent something immediately bad, but this is the Anakin we're dealt with Episode III (see: "Younglings or my wife? Killing the kiddos it is, then."), so at the very least it is consistent.

You're correct, as usual,
Mav'. I was mostly trying to make a joke.
I agree with you. I never liked Anakin's Episode II-III characterization either, but the choice that he made in the episode does fit it, and does make sense in the way you described.

Saw "The Citadel" just now. It wasn't that great, and I can tell for a fact
that all the action will happen over the next two episodes.

My Dad and I watched it, we liked it.

There was plenty of action for me, and ECHO AND FIVES

WOOO
Anyway, I liked the way they made Captain Tarkin arguing with the jedi, showing his distaste and predjudice.
We like that it was like han, chewie, luke, leia and the commandos trying to land at the shield bunker in rotj, but also like the death star prison break, notice the same exact cameras from the prison cell too.
Oh, did anyone notice the redshirt clones, green, yellow, red, its like the old marking denoting their rank, instead of there legion. No surprise, they all died...
Looking forward to more.

Hehe, in Austria we're in middle of Season 2 atm. (Last week was Landing at Point Rain, which seeing in HD made me notice a couple of mistakes in the map.
